My wife was recommended for the steak, which was about an 8oz for $18. It came with pasta on the side. She loved it. I had the classic Hong Kong style pork chops & and rice, which was amazing. Just think an 8oz steak at the Keg would be $35 minimum & our whole meal was $40, including Hong Kong tea.

Busy & small HK style cafe, have to wait for seats. Tight space between seats, food was just ok, HK milk tea taste good, price and service was average, however they do have many repeated customers where the server's can call them by names

During my first visit to this Hong Kong-style restaurant nestled in the heart of Richmond Hill, I had the pleasure of trying the Charcoal Broiled Tender Pork & Scrambled Eggs with Truffle Sauce on Rice, alongside the Indonesian Fried Rice. Both dishes were served hot and tasted good. The combo also included a daily soup, which was a comforting addition to the meal, embodying the warmth and homeliness of Hong Kong cuisine. Service was another area where the restaurant shone brightly. The server was not only friendly but also exceptionally helpful and considerate, enhancing the dining experience with attentive and personalized care. Given the quality of food and service, I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit.

Good Hong Kong style tea cafe. Food is better than my expectations. Deco is old, and it is just how a restaurant with a bit history should be. Service is ok. I can see the staff can name their old customers. It is nice and friendly. The food portion may be just enough. I tried the honey garlic fried chicken with rice, which is very good. Ice cream red beans drink is also very good.

A typical small Hong Kong style coffee shop serving a variety of mostly Hong Kong style dishes. Can get crowded during the lunch period. Ordered the Ox tongue & Dan Dan noodles with fried pork. Ox tongue smothered in brown gravy with spaghetti & vegs. Ox tongue portion was on point, spaghetti and vegs were not seasoned too well, luckily enough gravy to go around and did the job. Also added pepper for extra flavor. Dan Dan noodles arrived in a nice thick peanutty dan dan soup base with the sliced pork on the side. Pork was cooked crispy and tender. Thick soup base clung well to the noodles as I eagerly shamelessly slurped each strand, was I disturbing the adjacent customers, hell no as they were also slurping. Not sure what the name Pepper Wok refers to but they should rename their restaurant appropriately to "Slurping Noodles'. Staff were friendly and efficient, it helps if you speak Cantonese (no surprise here as you're in Thornhill). Appears many customers are regulars so you know it's going to be good. Both dishes come with a hot drink; add $1.25 of you prefer cold. It's been awhile since I've had Dan Dan noodles and this dish did not disappoint, I'll be back again to get my slurp on.

It's a local cozy original Hong Kong cafe in Richmond Hill's Jubilee Square. Recommend you order items from their 'Specials' menu as those are their best foods. And those come with a complimentary basic hot beverage. I had the Honey Mustard Chicken with rice. Sauce was great. We also got the Tan Tan Noodles with Fried Pork Chop. As well as Charcoal Broiled Tender Pork (similar to Char Siu/BBQ Pork) with Black Truffle Egg on rice. All tasted great. Servers are courteous, efficient and accomodating. Cash/debit as payment methods. We saw lots of take out orders being prepared and picked up as well.

We tried this place for the first time and are so impressed! We love the diversify menu The cooking, taste and quality of the food was amazing. I always order 鴛鴦(tea/ coffee drink)when I go to a HK style restaurant and this is the only place that serve it with sugar syrup, not just sugar sachets. Sometimes little details tells everything. The service was good and finally a place that has a proper and clean restroom! (Lots of restaurant just don’t care about their cleanness which concern me a lot because if they can’t maintain cleanses on where customers can see, then I can’t imagine how the inside kitchen must be! ) Thank you for your great effort, we will definitely go back soon and often!

Love the food here. I’ve been here multiple times and they never disappoint. This beautiful fried chicken dish with salad, roti and curry sauce is more than worth it for $12.99. It tastes absolutely as good as it looks. Their cart noodles is one of our favourites! Service is a bit rushed but it’s alright for a quick lunch. The place is quite small so I wouldn’t bring very young kids here as there isn’t much room for the bucket car seat or high chair.
