It is a family tradition to have Dim Sum on New Year’s Day. This year we decided to pick up. Everything was consistently good with the exception of the Cantonese Chow Mein. Why are the noodles now short? They have been last 2 times, so I take it this is a new supplier or they’re cutting the noodles for some odd reason that I can’t figure out, but I’ll ask the owner. This changes the dish in a huge way! Odd texture and mouth feel and resembles leftovers. Also this dish has gone up $2 again and yet there were less shrimp, scallop and pork were tiny bits, again resembling leftovers.

On the pricier side but the Peking Duck was one of the best have had in Toronto! I do prefer thinner pancakes but the lettuce wraps were also very good!

This HK style restaurant just moved to Yorkmills mall from Bayview Mall couple month ago. This restaurant brings more customers to come to this mall and create more business for every shops. The food is about average, but the service is quite good.

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Pearl Bayview, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with nothing but rude and dismissive behavior from the owner. The hostess was pleasant enough, but the owner quickly swooped in, acting annoyed that we were even there. Throughout our meal, the owner repeatedly passed by our table, glaring at us as if we were an inconvenience. When we had a minor issue with one of our dishes and politely brought it to their attention, the owner's response was shockingly rude. Instead of an apology or any attempt to rectify the situation, we were met with a condescending lecture about how we were wrong and the dish was perfect as it was. The owner's attitude was not just unprofessional but downright hostile. They made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, turning what should have been a pleasant dining experience into an unpleasant ordeal. It's clear that the owner has no concept of customer service and does not value their patrons at all. Overall, the atrocious behavior of the owner completely ruined our evening. If you're looking for a place where the owner treats you like a nuisance rather than a valued customer, then Pearl Bayview is the perfect choice. Otherwise, steer clear and take your business somewhere that actually appreciates it.

I came here for dinner on a Monday and it was less than half full. the ambience is nice as it gives off a slightly more upscale and modern vibe compared to typical Chinese restaurants. Here’s what we ordered: • fried udon beef and black pepper sauce this was super tasty. the beef was tender and the taste of the black pepper sauce was bold. • chicken fried rice this dish was disappointing. it was bland, dry, and not up to standard when it comes to fried rice. the pieces of chicken were tiny. however, something interesting about this dish is that there was a bit of a sweeter taste (almost as if they put some ketchup in the rice). • crispy beef in mild spicy sauce with sesame seed (not pictured) this was delicious and we really enjoyed it! the sauce on the batter was sweet and tasted really good with the beef and the way it was cooked. there was also a good amount of spice. our total for these 3 dishes came to over $100. overall I would most likely not recommend this place because of this price and the fact that there are plenty better options for Chinese food.

Went to the new location at the Bayview and York Mills Plaza opening night. I've been to the Harbourfront several times, and the Yorkville, and Oakville locations once or twice, and I have to say that the food quality in this location, in spite of it being opening night was outstanding. We had a bunch of dim sum dishes including the signature hockey pucks, shrimp rolls, soup dumplings, har gow, and chicken dumplings. for dishes we had sweet and sour chicken, bbq pork chow mein, snow pea leaves, and the best peking duck I've had so far in the city. (I know there are many amazing ones in Markham and the GTA which I've never tried, but I can only speak to the one's I've had). All the dishes were hot, fresh, and delicious. The location is great with ample parking, it's very easy to to access. Very kid friendly as well, I went with my family including ome young nieces and nephews, my nephew said it was "the best meal he's ever had". A great edition to the neighbourhood and will definitley be back for some weekend dim sum brunch.

Recently dined at a delightful Chinese restaurant and indulged in a variety of delectable dishes. The salty egg, a classic appetizer, was a perfect balance of saltiness and richness. The bitter melon stir-fry showcased the vegetable's unique flavor, complemented by tender pieces of succulent pork in the sweet and tangy sweet and sour sauce. The zesty lime-infused chicken, with its refreshing citrus notes, was a standout dish that left a lingering tang on the palate. The stir-fried beef with Chinese greens was a delightful combination of tender beef strips and crisp, vibrant vegetables, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Lastly, the braised tofu in a rich, savory sauce was a satisfying vegetarian option, bursting with umami goodness. Each dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and skill. The flavors were well-balanced, allowing the natural ingredients to shine through. The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience

Value is subjective, but you can't charge more and offer less portions and, most importantly, less flavour. The good staff and service is where I'll start because Dim Sum restaurants can be lacking, but I am happy to say that the service was excellent. This review will now head towards the negative as although the food was fine, it is not good enough for the price they charge or the slightly smaller portion sizes. You'll see in the pictures what I ordered and my bill. You be the judge, but even if you say it's reasonable, you'll find better taste at other Dim Sum restaurants.
