Authentic historic Toronto pub. Beautiful old building. Used to be a bank, I believe. The teller stalls have become the bar. Classy. And the roof top patio is tops in the summer!

We went there on Sunday afternoon, between 3pm and 4pm, we had the intention to have lunch. On weekends, they offer the menu with brunch and lunch. But the main on lunch menu just list chicken or fish, I would like a steak and doesn't have any option, just burgers. Which I didn't want. I got a frittata from the brunch menu and my husband trio fish tacos. The frittata was not a frittata, it was an omelete with hash brown on top, the frittata that I know the potato is prepared inside the eggs, but it tastes OK. My husband liked the tacos. The waitress service was very slow, but the blonde girl that was serving the food was working hard. She was the only one, she deserves the tips.

This was one of my hubby's favorite pubs when he was a student at UofT. I had a Greek Village 🐣 salad and I can say it's been one of the best salads I've ever had. It had chicken, feta cheese, lettuce, olives, cherry tomato, vinaigrette, and tasty toasty pita bread with a special cream. The hamburger and chips my husband ordered were very delicious too. They had a great IPA, pale ale and English ale on draft. This is my second time here and I enjoyed it a lot. They have great quality food and beer . If you walk by it deserves a stop for a Guinness, a nice cold beer or fabulous food. 💯💯💯👌👌👌🙌🙌🙌🍺🍺🍺Viva Toronto!!🇨🇦🍁🇨🇦🍁

Absolutely love Paupers any time of year but especially their rooftop patio in the summer. The vibe downstairs is always upbeat and young but the decor still has a cool old timey feel to it.

Very nice pub with comfortable, private seating. I appreciate their $10 lunch menu; unheard of now to get lunch out at that price. The hamburger and fries were decent, nothing special though.

Lots of food for good price, menu has classic bar food options. Their drink menu is smaller than l expected. It is cool place to hangout with friends. Roof top patio is surrounded by walls so you can't get view of city.:( Also outdoor furniture should be improved.

We had managed to book a patio through their website reservation system and it went smoothly. The service was amazing as our server(unfortunately didn't get his name) was extremely polite and courteous. Although we only got the French fries, they were extremely crispy and had a strong batter to them. Aside from that we ordered the chainsaw and dragonfruit Cocktail and they were both great. I plan to come here again to try more of the menu and experience more wonderful service.

The relatively large outdoor patio is open with a 1.5 hour seating time limit at the moment (July 5, 2020), and the rooftop patio opens at 5pm. The indoor seating areas are not open. Service was friendly and the food and drinks were good. This establishment seems to be taking coronavirus precautions seriously with all workers wearing masks, marked walking paths for social distancing, and the hostess taking your name and phone number upon entry for contact tracing purposes. Would go again!
