The “lava” of the chocolate lava cake was too solidified to flow out. The flavor was on point especially when mixed with whip cream and ice cream, but it ended up just a solid cake. The chocolate mousse had the similar issue, where the flavor was good but the texture just wasn’t mousse.

The experience was not cool. No welcome, no menu no service and we have to have self served over the counterto grab our deserts. The staffs was talking amount each others and they just pass our desert over the cashier. 🤯 Then later there is a couple came in to place their order and seated, the staffs start to brings desert for them and another couple customers get service. We were no impress with our experience. Well we be back, a.... NO. Was desert good? Humm okay not wow, welI won't be back. I love desert and I know I can get better deserts and a real service else where. Only person works hard and with a smile is the cashier. To bad your staffs don't care and its sad.

I tried the Crepe Mont Blanc here, and it was truly an amazing experience! The chestnut puree was incredibly smooth and had a natural sweetness that was just right. The crepe itself was soft and sweet, making every bite satisfying. The pairing with caramel ice cream was brilliant, adding a layer of rich texture and flavor. The crepe also contained cream and sponge cake, along with blueberry jam. For those who love chestnut and caramel, this dessert is definitely worth trying!

Food: 2 Stars Service: 2 Stars Ambience: 1 Stars Value: 1 Stars Overall: 1.5 Stars The crepes at Pastel Creperie & Dessert House are satisfactory, but the overall dining experience left much to be desired. While the flavours of the crepes themselves were decent, the presentation was surprisingly lacklustre. Despite opting to dine in, the crepes were served on flimsy paper styrofoam plates with disposable plastic cutlery, which made the meal feel more like a quick bite at a food court rather than a leisurely experience in a café setting. This detracted significantly from the enjoyment of the food, as the practicality of eating a delicate crepe with plastic utensils on a paper plate proved to be quite challenging. The ambiance of the place also fell short of expectations. With only a handful of tables available, the space felt cramped and lacked the cozy charm one would expect from a dedicated creperie and dessert house. Instead, it resembled more of a transient spot within a shopping mall rather than a place to sit back and savour a dessert. This environment made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal fully. Adding to the underwhelming experience was the establishment's dining policy, which felt unnecessarily restrictive. The insistence on timed seating to make room for other customers created an awkward atmosphere, leaving diners feeling rushed and pressured. Such policies may be practical during peak hours but seemed out of place in a supposed café setting where patrons typically expect a more laid-back dining experience. While the service itself was adequate, the overall atmosphere and dining logistics overshadowed the positives. The potential of Pastel Creperie & Dessert House to offer a delightful dining experience with its menu of crepes and desserts is evident, but improvements in presentation, ambiance, and dining policies are crucial for it to live up to its full potential. In conclusion, while the crepes themselves were enjoyable, the overall experience at Pastel Creperie & Dessert House was marred by its presentation, ambiance, and dining policies. Addressing these areas could greatly enhance the dining experience and make it a more inviting destination for patrons seeking a relaxed and enjoyable meal. kellychan360

One of my favourite dessert places ever! The service is always so friendly and fast. We got the shortcake crepe and nutella waffle, which were both so flavourful and filling. The nutella one was particularly good and full of different textures. The whip cream is so fluffy and light. The crepe (unlike d-spot!) is filled with berries, cream, and shortcake, making it filling and delicious! The price is average and very worth every penny.

Great flavors. Pure taste of fruits. Tried many of their dishes & loved each one. Specially - try their Mango ice cream & cheesecake. Highly recommended. There's street parking available right in front of the shop. We had - Banana, Strawberry, Mango, Salted caramel & cookies cream ice cream scoops. Superb, surely recommended. Best: Lychee Also, they have a very cute little patio outside. Customer service is nice. We went almost at 11pm today, but they waited for us before closing. They gently reminded us to leave as they were closing. 5 stars for food. Overpriced though!

I've been to Pastel many times for their sweet and savoury crepes. I remember when it used to be one of the few good spots in the area and how it was such a treat to eat here. Of course, the Yonge and Sheppard/Finch area now offers a whole lot of different cuisines to try. But sometimes, when I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, I go to Pastel. It may not have the bells and whistles of other creperies, or the new adventurous tastes of the other cuisines. But there is always comfort in that brownie-filled, batter-wrapped, chocolate-drizzled, double-scoop crepe of theirs. Good value for money. Pleasant service. Casual hang-out vibe. Pastel is the place I go to when I'm feeling whistful for a rarity these days: a simple treat.
