Went there for a new year eve dinner which was a preset menu. The staff were nice and accommodating despite a misunderstanding during a part of the meal. They were nice with having us stay for the new year count down with some drinks. Got the halibut for their tasting menu which was the best part overall along with the soup. They also had a decent cocktail menu as well. The portions were pretty good as well.

Our meal and whole experience was truly exceptional. I loved the warmth of the ambiance and staff. The menu was beautifully edited and every single bite was delicious. The cocktail menu and wine list were also excellent. We had a great time and 1000% will be back! Also the music was an added bonus and chef’s kiss!

New Brassrie in Toronto, very good value, cooking also not bad and quite tasty. Saturday night business is quite good and busy. Recommended

Man... You already know... Simply the best meal I have had this year. We decided to celebrate my son's 16th Birthday at our first Michelin-starred restaurant. This our first time eating at an establishment that is Michelin rated and it did not disappoint. We decided to sample as much as we could to get the most out of our experience, and every selection hit like pre- enlightened Mike Tyson. The sourdough bread and liver pate with jelly was delicious and sneakily portioned to make you order that second basket of bread. Savoury and sweet, we gladly ordered a second round of fragrant bread with an airy crumb. A dozen oysters followed. My son's, never having tasted this delicacy, were delighted at their salty, and oceany taste. Toppings of horseradish, mignonette and lemon kept the next bites varied and clean. Steak tartare, in my opinion, could have come with a few more toasts but we persevered and just scooped more steak per serving. More meaty goodness in every bite was a lovely problem to solve. Heirloom carrots, and Mixed Ontario greens... The greens, that salad; my boys were wide-eyed from the balance of seasoning and simplicity of such a dish. Of all the dishes, we were most amazed by how much was accomplished from that humble salad. Seafood linguine, (I think it was linguine), was prepared by hand and had a pleasant tooth that you would expect from fresh pasta. Clean flavours. Duck confit was cooked perfectly and the bacon, cabbage and acidity from the sauce kept the palate occupied with the balance of savoury, umami, and acidic flavours Hanger steak and frites; tender perfect steak and the chips were golden and crispy. Thank you to Mr. Daniel and the service team for taking care of us tonight. Service was exceptional, and I am not really sure what the other reviews of slow service are about.. I am not sure what crazy standards some people have. ..we appreciate the love and special touches from the kitchen tonight. ....I am upset now that our family is in a special predicament where every meal we have for the next few months will always be a little bit worse after tonight. Will we be back? ...man, you already know..

We had a dinner at 7 pm. The restaurant was busy so we waited for a while to get served, though we understood. The service was really good overall. The waitresses were nice from when we arrived at the restaurant until we stepped out the door. The food was OK. We had steak tartare, salmon fillet and duck confit. The steak tartar was good, but the toast that comes with it was a bit too burnt too hard. The salmon fillet tasted OK for the salmon and the sauce under it. The duck confit was unsatisfactory. Maybe I had an over-expectation on it, but it did not taste as good as I had in mind. The environment was wonderful for our anniversary night. We love the vibe that other customers were also chatting but not loudly.

Went on a Friday night at 7:30, happy we made a reservation, pretty much every table was filled. Sat in the dining room, beautiful atmosphere, great soundtrack throughout the meal, temperature of the restaurant was perfect, bathrooms were pretty and clean, sound level was perfect for chatting. Service was 9/10 - 1 point off as the server didn’t know who the chef was and wasn’t super knowledgeable on the wines, otherwise pretty perfect, glasses were constantly filled, starter plates promptly removed when done and new tableware provided for main, that sort of thing. The food was INCREDIBLE. Had the scallop crudo, sourdough, green salad, steak frites and spinach fettuccine shared between 2 of us. Perfect amount of food. Dessert we had the Paris something, forget the full name - it was lovely, could have used a drizzle of something though. Wines paired with each course were great. Dessert perfectly timed with rich girl by Hall and Oates. It was on the pricey side but worth it imo. Will definitely go back.

Heard friends talking about this restaurant so I was intrigued to try. We were seated on the patio that was lovely and perfectly shaded. We ordered the oysters, cod beignet, asparagus, seafood pasta and duck confit for 3. Oysters were your usual oysters. Cod beignet wasn’t very fluffy like a how a beignet should be. Asparagus were nice with a sauce and they were cold I didn’t think they’d be cold. Seafood pasta had a good flavour. Duck also had a nice flavour. I felt the portions were on the smaller side. We asked if it’s enough for us but we were still hungry after. We did ask the servers for serving utensils that didn’t make it to the table. Tried it, it was okay but don’t think I’d be running back.

Ate here Sunday night with a friend for dinner. The spot was busy but not fully packed which was nice. There is a good vibe in the restaurant and a night atmosphere. I had a Light Up Gold drink which was good, even if it had too much ice in it. The steak and fries were perfect. The green sauce was a nice touch with the steak. I'd come back to try the duck confit and other dishes on the menus. The scallops sound great!
