This place is so awesome 😸😸 everyone should come. The $5.99 breakfast was the best thing ever. It was so well cooked, came quick and tasted so good. We ate every last bit. Neither of us drink coffee and they let us substitute it for a soft drink which was incredibly kind. They even gave us cookies on the house!

One word: WOW!!!! I ordered the veal sandwich and a cup of coffee. It was the best sandwich I've ever had in Toronto. The veal was tender, the veggies were perfectly cooked, bread was fluffy, light and and delicious, and the tomato sauce tasted like was straight from southern Italy - extremely fresh. Also, the coffee was fresh and delicious as well. The owner who made my sandwich was also very warm, friendly and hospitable. Thank you Papamios!

The sign out front says "The Best Italian Sandwiches In Town," and while admitting I have not sampled *every* shop in Toronto, I have no doubt that they are right!!! I had a sausage sandwich with extra spice, and it was delicious! Cooked to perfection. Had a lively and engaging conversation with Marcus, the shop owner - a really pleasant guy :-) I don't live in Toronto, but plan to return and sample more great fare on future visits!

Was visiting my daughter and she introduced me to her favourite sandwich store in her neighborhood! Her favourite is the eggplant sandwich. I tried the meatball sandwich, it was absolutely delicious! Perfect meatballs with just the right amount of heat! We also got some cookies, freshly made in house and they are amazing in taste and texture!! My fave was the snickerdoodle! Marcus is a true master and the friendliest person you’ll ever meet! He has the biggest heart and pours so much love into his food! Pappamio’s is a gem in the city!

Lovely place! I rarely leave reviews but this place deserves more than 5star review. Friendly people and nice clients. Super local and authentic. Veal sandwich was awesome, I was too hungry to take photos. Definitely worth to make a trip to visit. Thanks for great experience and appreciate for your kindness and talent!

Wow, one of the best veal and meatball sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. This is a old fashioned classic Italian sandwich shop. The gentleman that helped us was so friendly, funny and kind. Made me feel right at home. The meat was so fresh and cooked infront of us to order. The veal was so tender and the tomato sauce was primo! A heads up, there are spicy pickled peppers or pepperonchini on the sandwiches so if you don’t like a little heat I’d ask them to hold off on it. They also do $2 pasta only when you buy a sandwhich! And the salted chocolate chip cookies are definitely homemade, yum!

Awesome food, terrible service. The eggplant sandwich, at just over $10, is a really good deal. The sandwich is HUGE, the equivalent of two servings at most places. As someone else has mentioned in a review, this is not a thin crispy type of eggplant. The eggplant is soft and somewhat mushy but still very very tasty. I called in my order - my phone number was not asked for and I was delayed getting to the place #Torontotraffic. When I parked in front, an older gentleman (who works there) appeared in the window with a grouchy mean-looking mug and literally stared me down from inside the store. I went into the store and was asked in an unfriendly tone of whether I had called in the order for the eggplant sandwich. I said yes, paid, and left. When I got back to the car, I opened up my order to check it out and take a bite. I looked back to the store and the same man was again in the window staring me down to the point it became uncomfortable and I drove off. I am not sensitive and not imagining things. I have excellent instincts and the vibe I was getting was that of hostility. Based on other reviews mentioning anti-masking behaviour from staff, I can't help but wonder if part of the hostility is from me still masking up.

A nice, local, family run restaurant. The sandwiches that I prefer are the all-day breakfast sandwich, chicken and veal sandwiches; they are great. Love their bread. Try the cookies as well! It was nice talking to you today Michael and Marcus! We will be back!
