My first time at Pain Perdu where I met a friend for lunch. I had the spinach and goat cheese quiche with a salad. It was delicious. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. Friendly service. I plan on going back to sample some of the temping French pastries. Perhaps a different quiche too.

A must visit of St. Clair West, Pain Perdu has been delighting locals with authentic French pastries and baked goods for over two decades. This charming bakery is a neighborhood institution, beloved for its warm atmosphere, friendly service, and most importantly, its consistently delicious offerings. Cute little find on St.Clair! Went for a small breakfast on a Sunday morning and there was room! Limited seating (like 6 tables), quick service, and good selection of pastries. Croissant was 4/5, and the juice was amazing!

I am actually obsessed with this place. The gruyere baguette sandwich blew me away. The quiche was perfect. This place does french bistro food properly and really is not too expensive. I loved it here. Definitely will be returning. Decent options available for vegetarians, but less for vegans.

Sweet and simple setting. Parisienne feel. A fresh baguette of perfect texture with delicious butter and apricot jam hit the spot, accompanied by an excellent coffee. Several classic lunch choices on the menu. I was more in the mood for baked goods. Took away an apricot Danish. Yummy. Not overly sweet. The lady in charge really cares about her customers. Pain Perdu is about a quality French café experience.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. There warm chicken sandwich was so good. Proves to show simple ingredients work with the right people. A great atmosphere not to loud. And the service was very pleasant. I'm definitely getting a chocolate croissant to go.

Very good French bakery with legit croissants and pain au chocolat and other French pastries / cakes, just like in France ! You can also have brunch there. And their hot chocolate is really good. The proper kind with real chocolate and milk. They also have amazing gâteau basque, which is rare to find in Toronto. They come in small and large cake size.
