My favourite oyster bar in the City! Oyster Boy offers a vast array of both east & west coast oysters and a great wine list to pair with them. We got 2 dozen oysters as an appetizer. For entrees, my sister got the fish and chips and cited it as “the best fish & chips she’s ever had”. I usually get the scallops, however, they were out of stock so I opted for the grilled octopus. It was fantastic (though maybe a smidge burnt). I can’t recommend Oyster Boy enough!

I had the pleasure of dining at Oyster Boy on a bustling Friday night, and despite the crowd, our experience was fantastic. Dylan, our server, handled our orders efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude throughout the evening. The food was delicious and well worth the price; the oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the Salmon Special was equally impressive. While the wait time was longer than usual due to the busy atmosphere, it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and excellent customer service!

Disappointing experience. Food is excellent, truly no complaints there. Service was quite bad though. First warning, one of our drinks was missed. No big deal. Then someone’s chowder on the other side of the table doesn’t show up. Ok weird. Then it shows up later instead of the main they ordered. When we point this out the waitress repeatedly says oh I didn’t hear that, no apology. Despite other people at the table ordering the same main chowder combination, and the waitress verbally acknowledging it when ordered. Not once were our soft drinks were refilled, nobody asked if our alcohol drinkers wanted more, no attention. Not even an apology for the mistake, just repeatedly said it was our fault. And after the mistake nobody even asked if everything was ok. Restaurant was busy, but still, even a few words would have made all the difference. Stick to takeout, because the oysters are genuinely great.

Oyster boy remains the go-to spot for lovers. Their assortment from PEl and New Brunswick, especially the St. Simon, is outstanding-briny, fresh, and simply the best. While oysters steal the spotlight, the other dishes are a great complement. Perfect for anyone craving top-quality oysters!

My east coast co-workers recommended this place and I wasn’t let down! Even though they were sold out of many of their main dishes (normal for a heavy festival weekend in Toronto) we still got to try their main attraction: raw oysters! They were all super delicious and their house made cocktail sauce was the best I’ve tried so far, but the west coast large oysters were insanely big—too big to eat in one bite (see my hand and lemon wedge for reference) so the mouth feel was totally off. Definitely worth the try just for the experience haha, but won’t order such large ones next time. Can’t wait to come back to try their main dishes as they looked super delicious.

I LOVED my experience here, everyone was so nice and efficient from the start and very accommodating. Right off the bat I noticed a rockstar all female team. I was celebrating my birthday and they were happy to accommodate my own bottle of wine for a $25 corkage fee. My sever Janet was so fun and kind and offered to take photos of my partner and I. She went above and beyond to make my night special. The quality of the seafood was excellent, we ordered the caviar and as pictured, it came with egg white, egg yolk, creme fraiche, shallot, chive and, blinis and 50g of caviar for $180 - not a bad price point if you want to try caviar for the first time or don’t want to bother making all the sides yourself. The shrimp cocktail has giant tender shrimp and house made cocktail sauce - highly recommend. The oysters were fresh and expertly shucked by the shucker (she had copper hair I didn’t catch her name!) and these were the cleanest oysters I have ever eaten. Flank steak was 8/10, not the most tender cut of meat but there was a lovely crust on the outside and the mushrooms and horseradish sauce were a great touch. I didn’t have any room for dessert so the team kindly threw a candle on an oyster for me. Honestly such an amazing night. The only thing that I would note is that the bathrooms could have used a bit more attention but nothing crazy. Lovely first visit and can’t wait to come back.

Great place to eat fresh oysters. I’ve visited this place on Sunday night and it was a bit crowded. I will mention at the beginning that this place is really understaffed. One person who is serving all the tables is madness. I guess the same situation with chefs as we was waiting for food for an hour, which is totally unacceptable. The lady waitress did apologize of course and it’s not her fault but owners. I liked the scallops, oysters was nice too. Octopus was okay, I had better in some other places. Overall I like this restaurant, but do I want to come back and wait for food an hour, seriously doubt that.

Went here for dinner last night with a couple of old work friends and it was absolutely incredible. Our server Maddy was such a pleasure to deal with / talk to - she suggested oysters specific to our tastes and then introduced us to her favourite oyster, the St. Simon from New Brunswick. That was such a killer oyster, we couldn't help but love eating it. I also ate the lobster poutine which was awesome. At the end of the night, Rachel and Maddy hooked us up with a couple of oysters that were shucked for a takeout that never showed up. That was the cherry on top of an even more eventful night.
