Original Mandi

Had an amazing experience at this place. The Mandy Lamb was exceptional—tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The ambiance was warm, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend for authentic Arabic cuisine!

Ordered a Mini lamb Mandi with a chicken leg on the side. Had to really push the girl at the register to get that extra chicken leg even though I paid like 10$ extra for it. Food was amazing. Rice, lamb, and chicken all had a smoky flavour and goes really well with the red chutney/sauce. Well seasoned and not spicy. Washrooms were a level down and were not very clean.

My husband and I decided to try Original Mandi Shawarma at 1795 Victoria Park Ave, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. 🌯✨ Having grown up with shawarma as part of my culture, I’ve had my fair share and can be quite picky. It had been nearly seven years since my last taste, but this one was truly remarkable. The flavors were delightful, and every bite brought back fond memories. 💭❤️ The real highlight, however, was the complimentary lentil soup they served—a thoughtful gesture on a cold Toronto day. 🥣❄️ It was warm, comforting, and filled with kindness, making the experience even more special. The cozy, family-oriented atmosphere and excellent service left us feeling happy, grateful, and at peace. 🕊️😊 A truly memorable visit.

it was one of the best Mandi experiences I've ever had. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a casual dinner with friends or family. The highlight, of course, was the food. The chicken mandi was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and falling off the bone. The rice was fragrant with just the right amount of spice, and the portion sizes were generous. The service was excellent as well. The restaurant also offered a variety of traditional sauces and sides that complemented the meal wonderfully.

Came here accidentally to have a quick snack but the atmosphere here is so active and happening that we stayed and ordered a dinner. The staff are very friendly and the cooks were very quick to serve regardless of the traffic. Love the Mandi, wings and Shawarma.

Visited this spot today. It was As pretty busy. My order took good 45 minutes after I was told it's on the line. Next thing I know the numbers way after me were getting served. the kitchen missed my reciept and just got a sorry instead. No plates for eat-in customers as every order was served in a containor. Washrooms were out of service. A little warm inside and customers were fighting overs chairs lol. Food price is reasonable.

Overall this place has really good food. The place just opened, reasonable price, good portion, and overall clean place. We ordered the shawarma chicken wrap, shawarma lamb wrap, and a chicken lamb mixed mandi plate. The wraps: we highly recommend, very flavorful with lots of seasoning and saucy. The shawarma lamb is probably one of the best around the area, so juicy it was dripping through the wrap. Both chicken and lamb are seasoned well. The shawarma chicken meat is a bit dry but was compensated with the sauce and seasoning. The restaurant is very busy on opening weekend so the wrap is a bit loose. The mixed mandi plate: it is interesting combo with just chicken, lamb, and rice. The curried lamb is so tender, very easy to eat. The chicken is quite dry but they gave us the whole breast which is fantastic for the price. The rice is fluffy and soft, not much seasoning. They also gave the garlic sauce, hot sauce, and peanut for the side. I wish there is some side veggie for the dish like pickle or tomatoes. We’re very impressed with the shawarma here, will comeback for more lamb shawarma wrap. Hopefully they will thrive in such a competitive place for shawarma. Note: they have a surcharge of 2.4% for credit card payment, which is understandable but it was not communicated with us during the purchasing.
