Oretta King West

Came here recently for happy hour with a few friends, the menu is all under $15 but they are half portions: Burrata e Pomodoro 👌 Pizzeria Piemonte 👌 Calamari 👌 Carbonara The buratta was fresh and soft, mushroom pizza had a very nice chewy dough with a good bite to it, and the calamari was very tender. The carbonara came out like a fried log, which was tasty but had an interesting texture due to the spaghetti noodles inside. I came once a few years ago for summerlicious, and I feel the food is much better this time even though our pizza had a hair baked into it that we didn't discover until 3/4 of the way eating it. The server and manager did come apologize and remove it from the bill though.

Fantastic Italian food! One of the best restaurants serving meals with an authentic flavour, especially their thin crust pizza. We had a great time and will be happy to go again.

Went during lunch happy hour with my friend. We loved our server!! I wish I remembered her name but she was the best! Super knowledgeable and had great recommendations. I started off my meal with an expresso martini and it was made to perfection! We ordered calamari, a margarita pizza, & potato croquettes. The only thing that threw us off was the sauce under and on top of the croquettes. It had a distinct taste that wasn’t to our liking.

Pricey pasta but tasted amazing! We made a reservation for two people at 5pm. Service was great and our server was very friendly! We ordered and shared the Cacio Pepe, Branzino, and the Ravioli for our entrees. Cacio Pepe was made al denté which I liked and found very unique, along with the creaminess and great taste. Portion was slightly small but I would still order it again. It was also pretty cool that they finished it off in front of us by cooking it in a big cheese wheel prior to serving it to us. The ravioli was also just as great! The filling and pieces of truffle on top made the pasta taste very unique. I would also order it again. Branzino tasted good but wasn't outstanding since I had better. I wouldn't order it again and would rather order something else. Also, for dessert we got the tiramisu which they made their own modern twist to it. It was pretty much an espresso gelato with pieces of cake on it. Very yummy and perfect for finishing the experience! Overall very romantic ambiance with very yummy food!

A fabulous and suave italien dining experience! The restaurant can fit any and all dietary requirements, and were very kind at accommodations. The drinks were delicious and the price of a bottle was not devastating! The dirty gin martini was filthy the way we like her to be! The food was decadent but also not overwhelming portions, the digestion track approves. Saw a birthday, some dates and gals who dine. Great spot when you wanna feel bougie and cared for but not overly pretentious. Our server Lauren was a delight and a cutie.

Oretta is definitely over rated, not sure if we caught a bad day to visit but the pasta dishes were terrible but pizzas were great. The lamps on the table weren’t working properly but it’s a gorgeous restaurant and the ambience is definitely nice but unfortunately that was the best feature about our visit. Wasn’t too impressed with service either but our server did her best on a day where they seemed to have been short staffed

This is my second time coming to Oretta. Couple friends and I went for brunch. The atmosphere and food all look really nice however the food, as I remembered it, is just alright. With the higher prices, you would hope the food would be more flavourful and the textures would be better. The best part of the meal was having Alyssa as our server. She was so efficient and accommodating with everything we needed and always made sure our drinks were topped up. She was amazing.

Update: I visited the King West Oretta location again and shared a few dishes with some friends and a few rounds of cocktails. Their martinis were simply delicious.. and our group throughly enjoyed the menu. This time everything was exceptional! The service was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious and we had such a good time. I would highly recommend for any special occasion because they took such good care of our group even though the place was completely packed and they were hosting a wedding. Truly amazing!! - weekend dinner group of 6 Previous review - weekday lunch Loved the relaxing atmosphere. The team here was kind and polite. The seating is well spaced and allows for conversation while enjoying the music. The salad was a bit disappointing because it didn’t have any greens to balance the fruit and nuts. The crispy potatoes were delicious and a generous portion. The pepperoni pizza was large in size and the flavour and overall taste was very good.
