I've had the pleasure of dining at Onoir Restaurant in Toronto multiple times over the past decade, and each visit has been a truly exceptional experience. The food is consistently fantastic, What truly sets O.Noir apart is its unique dining experience. The restaurant's innovative approach to blind dining is both fascinating and enlightening, allowing you to reconnect with your senses and experience food in a whole new way.. The staff are always attentive, knowledgeable, and welcoming, making every meal feel like a special occasion. And the best part? Despite the high quality of the cuisine and service, Onoir remains extremely affordable. Whether you're a longtime fan like me or just looking to try something new, Onoir is an absolute must-visit destination for any food lover in Toronto.

Our server Ali did an outstanding job. He was Efficient, made us all feel comfortable, safe, he was kind and helpful. Ali made this experience truly memorable. He talked us through each part of the service, from guiding us into the dining room to serving all of our drinks and meal courses. Thank you Ali and staff. Excellent customer service.

Great spot! Very very memorable experience, your dinner will be in complete and utter darkness. You won’t be able to see anyone or anything you’re eating. Really let’s you embrace the smells and sounds of going out to dinner. Great experience to try and I highly recommend this for a date!

The service we received was phenomenal. Our waiter was amazing, kind and patient with us. Eating in the dark is a surreal experience that was a tad overwhelming at first. My partner and I went for our anniversary and we felt so connected to each other even amongst the chatter. If you’re looking for top of the line food, there are better places in the city. But if you’re looking for a unique, eye opening experience this is definitely the place for that.

My first time here, definitely unforgettable experience. I was scared and feel uncomfortable at first because I wasn’t expect that dark, but i get used to it after Ali - my waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, the service was excellent. Highly recommend, must try at least once in your lifetime

We had a unique and wonderful experience at ONoir. We ordered a surprise starter, as well as surprise main, and let the staff know that we don't have any allergies and are non-vegetarian. (If you do have any dietary restrictions, they will take them into consideration.) We received two different appetizers and two different mains, and had a lot of fun trying all of them, and figuring out what was on the plate. We guessed some, but not all! It was all delicious though. The food is great; the atmosphere is cosy. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Our server was lovely as well. We had a great time! Will come back gladly. Thanks ONoir!!

Firstly, the restaurant is behind a gate and it's hard to tell if it's open or not, it doesn't look great. When you get in, it looks like you're entering an abandoned restaurant eg. Rooms cordoned off as they are overflowing with boxes. There is no cloakroom, so don't bring a bag or jacket unless you want to risk it. The front of house member of staff was awkward and didn't explain the concept of the restaurant and answered any questions very bluntly - it was a weird intro. Our server Dave was fantastic, lovely guy, very attentive and we felt well looked after. When seated at the table we tried to get our bearings and while feeling my way around the table there were quite a few crumbs and pieces of food. The food was awful, really bland and disappointing. We really felt that the restaurant missed a trick in not having some interesting flavours in its courses. I had the mystery meat starter and the shrimp risotto and honestly couldn't tell if there was a difference in the taste. Our friend was a vegetarian and she had a mushroom salad and a stir fry and it sounded like she basically had the same thing twice. Whatever you have for your main, you are guaranteed to get mashed potatoes and green beans - it felt very lazy. Do not recommend. The only highlight was the server Dave. However it would've been great to have had more information and insight on how the dining experience was supposed to give a perspective of a blind person. If you are of a nervous disposition and are unsure about how you would cope in this situation then I would not recommend as you are in complete darkness and can be anxiety inducing.

This is a unique experience if you are looking forward to have dinner while enhancing your senses. Eating in the darks will allow you to perceive the flavors in a new different way. Trying surprise dishes and drinks it’s also recommended to fully take advantage of this experience. I totally recommend it.
