ONE Restaurant

We came here for our anniversary dinner to enjoy some fine dining and good food. The service started great with our drink orders being taken and given quickly with generous pours of wine. After that the service became very slow and we had to flag down our waiter multiple times and after mentioning we needed to leave soon, spent 20 minutes waiting for the bill, granted we were given complimentary cake pops for dessert. We have been to fine dining restaurants before and the only thing about this spot is it did not feel intimate or quiet rather a similar vibes to a Moxies. The food was good. Lastly I want to note the staffs attention to detail when cleaning/setting up tables as well as the collection of our plates and providing new plates and cutlery was exceptional.

i've been going here for brunch, lunch, and dinner for years and they're super consistent with everything. the pancakes are probably my favourite but all of the food is honestly good. service is also always amazing! shoutout to Ray for making our last dining experience 12/10!

The full breakfast was delicious and filling. It came with 2 eggs, home fries, toast, fruit & berries, turkey breakfast sausage and orange juice. The espresso was good as well.

This is my first time back to One Yorkville since 6 years ago. I always have high expectations in One. Located inside The Hazelton Hotel, one of the upscale hotels in the heart of Yorkville. We ordered miso black cod, 8oz grass fed tenderloin and garlic mushroom. I would put 3.5 to 4 stars for One Yorkville, the reason being is the side order mushroom. Both mains are great, but not wow. The side order mushroom can taste the burning. It is definitely not executed properly. The chef must forget the mushroom, it is way overcooked and burnt. Overall, I am pleased with the black cod, one of the best in Toronto. Only if I would want to have the cod again, or else I might not come back.

**One Restaurant Review at The Hazelton Hotel, Yorkville, Toronto** My recent dining experience at One Restaurant in The Hazelton Hotel was a mix of highs and lows. Upon arrival, I was met with an unwelcoming demeanor from the lady at the entrance, who seemed unfriendly and perhaps even intimidated by my conservative and classy attire. Seemed she didn’t want to let us in when she saw us, then she was completely shocked knowing we booked a table from our room at the Hotel. This initial interaction was disappointing and set an uncomfortable tone. Even when we were leaving she continued with her unfriendly looks. Fortunately, the service improved once we were seated. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, which helped to redeem the overall experience. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the food. Each dish was well-prepared and flavorful, with the focaccia bread standing out as a must-try.

My friends and I came to ONE Restaurant. My friend was disappointed with the servers. We arrived after 10pm and were served the late night menu which has limited selection of food. The Lobster Spoons was alright, lots of melted butter on top of the lobster. The Meatball was good, the bread tasted great. The Truffle Fries was excellent, we loved it

Update: Came back for a birthday brunch and it’s just as good as last month, if not better. I’ll be back! Initial Review: Just made the breakfast cut off time before 11:30am, and love me some dessert for breakfast. The blueberry pancakes are soooo good here! And the oat latte was better than I thought it would be, served with a little biscotti. Admittedly, I was with a party that was quite demanding, yet the wait staff went above and beyond. Very impressed with the service here! Would definitely come back for brunch!

It was a great brunch experience. I had heard that the lobster spoons were a must when dining at One Restaurant, so we ordered those to share, and they did not disappoint at all! Easily a 10/10 for taste, and serving size. My best friend had their Organic Irish Salmon, and I had their Filipino BBQ Half Chicken. We also shared their Woodland Mushroom dish. Everything tasted great, and they even gave my best friend a happy birthday cookie at the end of our brunch. A nice touch was the little chair provided for our purses/bags. That was a great detail! Overall, it was an amazing experience with very friendly staff. However, I must say it’s a little pricier than other upscale restaurants we usually visit, considering the food that we got and the atmosphere of the restaurant - something was off about the vibe in this place, also extremely dry air / poor lighting inside.
