The restaurant is the corner unit in a "strip mall" with plenty of shared parking. The restaurant is very interestingly decorated with lots of wall paintings by friends of the owner. The owner serves as the host and welcomes you to tge restaurant. He is a very interesting host who gives customers his full, undivided attention. Note the photo showing the opening hours and days. I waited aprx 20 minutes for a takeout order placed on site. Four dishes in all. Portions are generous. My favorite was the beans and mushrooms dish. $99 total charge for tge meal

Wow, very impressed on this low profile Chinese restaurant. Haven’t taste so good food for a long time, even though we dine out very often. The food is excellent, worth every penny. The service is superb. Definitely will come back frequently.

A big surprise for me! Didn’t expect to have a great Chinese Cuisine dinner in Toronto at reasonable price. The Boss dissuaded us from over ordering. We had the 水煮鱼and麻婆豆腐。The taste was authentic and the portion was large. We went there the next day to have lunch there. The stir fried beef and the stewed noodle were great. After chatting with the Boss, he offered me his 二窝头 for free! For those who love mala, it’s a must go place in Toronto.

The only thing better at Old Time Chinese Cuisine is the service! The owner and employees are incredibly friendly and welcoming and they serve amazing traditional Chinese food. The Cumin Lamb is a personal favorite!

One of best Chinese restaurants in town! Food is various authentic mainland Chinese. On the contrast, its decor is very not Chinese but yet very beautiful. And the out door patio is also nice. The boss and server are very friendly. Service is excellent. And yes the washroom is very clean and nice too!

Such an amazing dining experience. It really is a hidden gem, as I rarely find authentic Chinese cuisine like this outside of Markham/Scarborough. Maybe not so hidden on weekends as they were quite busy when I visited! Their menu is not nearly as long as most Chinese restaurants, which is nice because you do not need to spend much time picking and choosing between dishes that sound the same. Everything on their menu, I trust, is chosen with care, as every dish we tried was amazing. My favourite dish was definitely the Beef with Enoki Mushroom and Vermicelli (33.95). I have never had anything like this before! It is so flavourful without being oily, we liked it so much we ended up ordering another. The portion is pretty decent for the price. The portions of some dishes are definitely better than others, you can try and judge it with the photos I've included. I also loved the Sweet and Sour Ribs (22.95). In general, everything we got was good, but these were just my favourites. I saw a lot of other tables ordering huge heapings of noodles, but our table wasn't interested due to dietary restrictions. I'll have to come back myself to try it! Definitely recommend. The prices aren't cheap but you're also in a more expensive area in general. You can also tell how much care is put into their restaurant and each dish, so it's worth every dollar.

Truly a hidden gem for authentic Chinese food! The owner and all his staff are amazing and just incredibly friendly and accommodating. The service is super fast as well. Seriously, this is my favourite place for Chinese food in the entire city. I've already been here twice and will definitely be returning time and time again.
