(Visited on Thurs, Oct 24/24 at around 6PM) First time visit, let me get the one tiny thing out of the way. After our dine in meal our clothes and hair smelled like frying oil. And the next day my sweater and jacket still smelled. Also there was a point that during the evening I guess the smoke from cooking became too much and was making my eyes water. BUT THAT'S ALL THE NEGATIVES. Everything else was positive! If you're from out of town or a different part of the city, parking may be an issue, but I parked behind the restaurant and asked if it was okay if I parked there. If not there is street parking or a Green P lot nearby. It felt like most of the patrons were local and getting Takeout or maybe they knew where to park. If you haven't eaten here - YOU GOTTA EAT HERE. It might be my first time having Bahamian Food but the bar has been set high. Real high. First of all the staff were excellent, so friendly and accommodating in answering our questions and giving suggestions on what to have as our first meal. We got the Conch Fritters, the Fried Fish and Pancakes, the Fish Finger Dinner, and two Switchers. Despite the bones - that Fried Fish was absolute perfection. Listen if you're getting a whole fish you know there's gonna be bones. The seasoning was good, but they also give a lime and this spicy vinegar thing in a little cup and it just adds extra flavour. But those pancakes and guava butter - absolutely excellent. Definitely get this. We loved the conch fritters with that kick at the end and the sauce! Everything was just excellent. We came at a good time because it didn't take long for our food to come out. I was expecting to wait 30 mins or more - as orders were piling in later in the evening yes people were waiting but everything is made fresh to order. I can't wait to come back and order the Seafood Monster~ Definitely recommending this place to everyone!

Very good food. I’ve come twice already and the food is worth the trip. The only thing is they take too long to prepare the meals. They do have like a poster at the door stating they take some time but still I don’t understand what the hold up is. Anyway, if you want to try some good food from Bahamas, this is a place to go.

I’m having a hard time understanding the hype of this place. The first time I came here I got the chicken in the bag and didn’t like the flavours. And the fries were too soggy for me. Today, I tried the conch fritters and it’s just a bit disappointing with the flavour, texture and the sauce isn’t good. Maybe it’s just not for me. I love the service and atmosphere however. I will continue to give other items on the menu a try as I love that there is representation of the Bahamas.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Old Nassau Authentic Bahamian Cuisine and it was a delightful experience! I ordered the fried snapper with pancakes and conch fritters. The snapper was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside. The real star, however, was the guava butter that accompanied the pancakes. It hands down one of the best toppings I've ever had on a pancake! My girlfriend opted for the shrimp snack and was very impressed with the generous portion. Be prepared to wait a bit as everything is made fresh to order, but trust me, it's absolutely worth it. The food is bursting with authentic Bahamian flavors and the service is warm and friendly. I highly recommend Old Nassau for anyone looking for a taste of the Bahamas in Toronto! I can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes!

A Taste of Heaven. Today my family and myself had lunch at Old Nassau Authentic Bahamian Cuisine, and the word I would use to describe the experience is delightful. As soon as we entered the door, the sounds of Bahamian music made us feel like we were home. To add to this, the Bahamian decorations and shirts on sale also made us feel welcomed. However, the best part was the food. Bahamian food items that we love, including conch fritters, guava duff and sky juice were all served with a smile. We ordered a wide variety of food and everything was delicious. I highly recommend that anyone in the Toronto area check them out.

Keith Lee wasn’t kidding!! Drove here from Hamilton and food was absolutely delicious. We got the fish/pancakes and seafood dinners and enjoyed them both. The seafood dinner had large shrimp, good amount of conch, and a good sized lobster tail. I chose mac and cheese and plantain as the side and both were delicious. We LOVED the banana pancakes and the dipping sauce as well. Next time, we will try the fried red snapper. Also tried two of their homemade drinks (mango lime + coconut) which were so flavourful and refreshing. Would drive 1hr 15mins from Hamilton to visit this place again, just do it!

I was in the mood for a snapper, visited Old Nassau. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. Got two meals the chicken dinner and the snapper dinner. The food was delicious and fresh, served to order. I wish they asked how you want the fish done, like spicy, salted/not salted. Over all the experience and food was great. Two things; 1) the restaurant might have to expand, there’s not much seating area and it’s hard to find a seat, if you’re planning on eating there. 2) the restaurant needs to change the forks, the fork is extremely flimsy for the food, it was hard to eat with it. Needs better quality utensil. Overall I would highly recommend this establishment, tasty and fresh 👍🏽🇧🇸
