O'Hara's Public House

When this place went under new ownership, they should have changed the name, but I assume they were too lazy and cheap to invest in new signage. An absolute insult to the beloved neighbourhood pub it used to be a few years ago. I don't know who the new owners are, but they clearly don't care about anything other than making a quick buck. An Irish pub with only Molson Canadian and Coors Light? And barely anything but mixers on the bar? A damn shame. Heard a rumour it's closing. Sorry to say, but I hope that's true, and I hope whoever buys it does a better job with the location even if they decide to not keep it as a pub. Shame the people that bought it post-covid ruined the O'hara's name.

Stopped on our way south to access food, bathrooms, wifi for funeral planning, and a break from driving. Nice little Irish pub but a request to lower the pulsing rap was steadfastly refused by staff person. And the Olympics were on - why were the the only patrons not allowed to at least hear the commentary? Management, please train staff to care for all aspects of the experience. Tips are not a big enough incentive apparently.

I love coming to O’Hara’s, the atmosphere is amazing and the food is to die for. We love talking with the staff especially Emily the main bartender, she really makes O’Hara’s worth coming. She’s so sweet, kind, and very personable. She makes this bar a place to want to come, and have a great experience filled with laughter and fun. O’hara’s wouldn’t be O’hara’s without her.🖤

A classic pub feel. A little bit slow on the service side, but the server was great! I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich, the plating was weird compared to all other food items, but it was decent. It could have been better if there was more than a few squirts of hot sauce on the chicken.

Bar hours say 10 o'clock, show up at 8:50. Just wanting 2 shots and get turned away after one hell of a day. So for 2 minutes of a waitresses time, Considering she told me the people inside were just finishing their drinks..what would have been a 10 to 15$ tip just because I needed it at the moment and it is conveniently in my neighborhood. And I'm a long outstanding member of it , This just proves to me that the Bull & Barrel or something close to me will get my business from now on and I will make sure to tell people I know what I think of the place.

Small neighborhood bar. Friendly staff and large food portions. Next time I'm broke down 20 minutes from Barrie like i was I'll be heading back again! We shared a fish and chips meal. Was good and greasy like some places.

Great place for those who like cold beer, drinks and good music. I recommend trying the chicken wings or if you are hungry the Guinness beef dip. You will not regret it!

The food is excellent, the service great and the atmosphere is relaxing. Best place I have eaten in a long time. !!!!!
