I usually take out but this Saturday evening I decided to eat in. Thank you for a delicious dinner served on a plate with silverware. Wasn’t expecting that! I’ll come back and definitely recommend. Great value! Mark

Disappointing Experience at Ochas Restaurant During my lunch break today, I decided to try Ochas restaurant, which was conveniently located nearby while I was on the road. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory from the moment I walked in. The lady at the front didn’t seem too happy, and while I understand that everyone has personal challenges, the atmosphere felt gloomy and unwelcoming. That should have been my first red flag, but since I was hungry, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and proceeded with my order. After placing my order and paying by credit card, I was informed that one of the items I ordered, costing $16.99, was unavailable. The staff member at the counter offered to refund me in cash, which sounded fine—until things got complicated. I was charged a $1.23 fee for using my credit card, which wasn’t a huge deal, but when it came to the refund for the missing item, the cashier initially tried to give me only $15 back. I had to explain repeatedly that the item cost $16.99, and after three attempts, she finally refunded me $18. This back-and-forth, combined with the lack of any apology or acknowledgment of the mistake, was incredibly frustrating. Overall, the customer service was poor, and the gloomy atmosphere made the whole experience feel unpleasant. I wouldn’t recommend Ochas, and I certainly won’t be returning.

The customer service was excellent. The atmosphere was amazing. They have great music playing at the background which we really appreciate too. The food presentation was amazing. The chef really patient to put a lot of effort and time on putting the food together. You could really tell the hard work and dedication behind the scene at their kitchen. It was delicious. We highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys great customer service and excellent food presentation.

I ordered on Uber eats and the chicken tastes old and the rice is lumpy, very underwhelming. This is my second time ordering and I thought it would just be a one time mistake when I got pot bottom rice the first time but the food quality is definitely lacking and garnishing it to make it look pretty does not help. I didn’t even finish it because I don’t want it to make me sick and for $16 you guys can do a little better with the chicken you give people, I wasn’t going to leave a review but I wasted my money twice so I thought I should.

OCHA’s is just the best. The owners are so so kind and they make the best food. The sauce for the jerk chicken is chefs kiss, so addicting. And the pasta salad that comes along complements the chicken so well. Sometimes I think they open/close at different times, so make sure to call beforehand! You will not regret coming here.

Their Jerk chicken is sell off! Has the nice grilled smokey flavour, and its well seasoned! 10 out of 10. The festivals are nice and soft and the cashier is very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Highly recommend.

Don't judge a book by its cover. I walked into this place today starving. I was politely greeted by the owner. Told me the jerk was fresh and ready. I will say this was the juiciest jerk chicken I ever had. The hot sauce was great. Lots of flavors and the right amount of heat. Though I like it on fire. Paired that with some rice and peas and a ginger beer I was set for the day. Great meal. Fair price. Amazing customer service. The owners are super nice. Will be back.

Best decision we made deciding to randomly order from here. You know it's good eats when the first thing out of your kids mouth is "When can we eat this again??" OCHAs is seriously not playing when it comes to flavour. Every single one of their dishes was seasoned to perfection, just jam-packed with savoury, sweet, spicy goodness it's unreal. The oxtail platter is one of the best things Ive eaten in my life - meat is fall off the bone tender and we were licking gravy off our plates. Plantains and jerk are a ticket to heaven. I'd eat the entire damn menu in one go if I had 2 stomachs. We've eaten at basically every restaurant in Vaughan and this is top 3 EASY. My dad never tried jamaican food before but now he's obsessed. plus super friendly staff, even though there was a line of people waiting for their order - total local gem, EVERYONE needs to try it.
