I had a fantastic dining experience at Ocean Palette in Barrie! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The standout, however, was the exceptional service provided by Gilna. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our meal memorable. Highly recommend this place for a delicious meal and top-notch service

The porotta and kanthari chicken curry were okay. Biryani was not good. Pothichor items didn't feel fresh. Tea was good. I have tried their Mississauga branch before, and the taste was okay there, which is why we thought of trying. I hope they improve the quality of food.

I usually order through Uber Eats, but this time, I decided to visit the restaurant with a friend and it was an experience worth every moment. We ordered beef fry, appam, and porotta, a combination that holds a special place in the hearts of Malayalees. The beef fry was cooked to perfection, bursting with authentic flavors and spices that highlight the essence of Kerala cuisine. The flaky, soft porotta and the light, spongy appam were the perfect .A special thanks to the chef for creating such a masterpiece. The service was exceptional as well. Our server, Sreelekshmi, she served us a refreshing iced coffee, which was the perfect ending to a delightful meal. If you’re looking to savor the authentic flavors of Kerala, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended

We tried Putt, kadala curry, Porotta and Beef fry along with chai from the menu and left the restaurant with bellies full and heart contented. Really satisfied with the taste as well as the quantity of the food. Their Beef fry is a must try The front staff served us the food with utmost care and made sure that we were satisfied. Commendable service. Will visit again. Thanks to the whole team.

If you're a biryani lover, Ocean Palate is definitely worth checking out. The biryani I tried was a delightful experience — rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. To complement the meal, I tried the Mango Milkshake, and it was divine. Smooth, creamy, and bursting with the sweetness of fresh mangoes.I highly recommend this place .

I recently ordered Pothichoru for takeout, which cost $20.99. Unfortunately, the quantity was extremely disappointing. There were six or seven curries included, but it felt more like I received samples of each for tasting rather than full servings. For $20.99, I expected a much larger quantity of curries. The moru curry was very watery, as if water had been added to increase the quantity. The sambar consisted only of parippu and potatoes. The beef was undercooked, and I only received two to three small pieces. The fish fry was very small and thin and the chicken pieces was just 2 bone pieces Additionally, I was given just one teaspoon each of cabbage, koottucurry, and chammanthi, along with a omelette. The quantities and quality of the curries I received are clearly visible in the picture I uploaded. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase and will not be buying from here again. It was a complete waste of money.😤

"We were on a road trip from Montreal and made a pit stop at Ocean Palate in Barrie to satisfy our craving for some authentic Kerala food. This place did not disappoint! We ordered tea, banana fritters, egg puffs, parotta, and beef fry – everything was absolutely delicious. The parotta was perfectly flaky and soft, and the beef fry was just chef's kiss! Pairing the banana fry with the beef was a revelation – no words, just wow. Worth every penny! The service was excellent, too. Our server was incredibly kind, took time to explain the dishes, and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a taste of Kerala in Ontario!"

I tried $17.99 Signature Sadya; it's one of the worst Sadya I have ever had. The rice was not boiled enough, and there were few side dishes. It only had Sambar as curry and very little quantity. The worst part was that when I asked for extra Sambar, I was told that would be an additional charge 😤. The waiting time was unbelievable; I had to wait about 30 minutes to get Sadya. It was not a rush time when I visited. Maybe about 20% of the seats were only occupied.
