Our family’s go to place for 50 years was the steakpit. We all got together this week and ordered in ribs for everyone. It brought back such memories. Everything tasted exactly the same. My 94 year old mother ate a full rack of ribs and we talked and shared memories until our mother finally kicked us out. Thank you steak pit for our history and our future.

Went to get the ribs we used to love at the old Steakpit. Big disappointment. The small portion of ribs were not back ribs. They looked and tasted like they were reheated. The Mexican sauce was tasteless. The salad dressing tasted like it came from a bottle. Enjoyed the garlic bread and the baked potato. I guess you can’t go back.

It was exactly like I remembered all those years ago. The ribs were excellent my friend had a steak he really enjoyed it. What can I say? I will be back in a heartbeat.

It was a trip down memory lane. Salad with iceberg lettuce, radish, green onion, tomato & thousand island dressing. Homemade garlic bread. A juicy New York steak cooked perfectly, baked potato & a generous slice of coconut cream pie. My companion was able to have a burger cooked medium-rare. Will definitely be going back.

Restaurent is like a drop in center nothing appealing there..except they have table cloths, ribs were very dry and the salad was only lettuce .burger was very good but there are many burger places to go to in this city.the coleslaw was good but the restaurent is NOT at all” like the old Steak Pit was at all. Def just used their name that’s about it ! I also think this woman owner should be walking around asking people,how they enjoy it other than sitting with her friends at the next table an gabbing away about life

The ribs bring back great memories. Absolutely delicious. Everything else from the garlic bread to the steaks were extremely disappointing. Also surprised that know one came by to get our perspective. Also extremely rushed and loud.

For some (my husband included) the Steak Pit was the place to go as kids. When he heard they were opening again within the Bistro on Avenue he quickly booked a reservation. I had been once at the original location, I didn't get the hype but the food was decent. My ribs (half rack) were really good, the salad as it was before, is just iceberg with a tomato on top, I don't eat tomato but added some pickles, radish and olives from the relish tray to the salad, it was pretty good. My baked potato was half rotten inside which I didn't notice until I had eaten half of it, but I had had enough so it wasn't a big deal. Service was excellent, I am sure we will be back.
