NJOY SHAWARMA

Greeted with the biggest, warmest smile when I walked in. Fantastic environment and the food - WOW. Got a chicken shawarma on garlic potatoes. Full of flavour and very generous portions for the price! Garlic sauce was incredible too. Photo doesn’t do it justice but trust me it tastes better than it looks. Thank you!!

I visited N'joy Shawarma with my friends for a casual meal and found it to be a standard but satisfying shawarma spot. From the outside, it has a large sign in yellow and black with an image of a spit roast. While I liked its simplicity, it looked similar to at least 2 other shawarma restaurants, making me think it might be from a generic template. Even though it was hot outside, it wasn't necessarily cool inside. The no-frills setting featured a TV playing captivating music videos, and there were plenty of empty tables. The only person working, who seemed to be the owner, greeted us warmly and was very attentive throughout the ordering process. The restaurant offered the standard items like stuffed pita, shawarma plates, and kebab plates. Here's what I got: Chicken Shawarma Plate: Served in a takeout box, the shawarma plate was very saucy and full of flavours. In fact, it was too saucy, and I generally enjoy saucy foods. With the power of sauces, the dish worked out despite using white rice and having some burned ends on the chicken slices. Even the veggies were well-seasoned, which felt a bit overwhelming overall. The hot sauce didn't impress me. There was a stairway downstairs, but it didn't lead to a washroom. I couldn't find it and eventually gave up. Overall, N'joy Shawarma meets expectations but doesn't stand out as extraordinary. For locals, it might be worth getting a takeout, but it's not a place that warrants a special trip. With plenty of other options in the area, I'm not sure if I'll be back unless I'm specifically craving shawarma and happen to be nearby.

Quick service and delicious food! Ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich with all the toppings minus tomato. The sandwich was phenomenal! HIGHLY recommend!!!!

Don’t miss out on this SHAWARMA!! Ok - at this point can I please call myself the Shawarma connoisseur? Because for every state, city and country there is a food menu item that replicates a Shawarma! God bless the place that Shawarma’s originated from. Back to this review! We definitely N’joyed our Shawarma order! I got the Beef Shawarma Sandwich and it was flavourful. What I particularly liked about devouring this sandwich was its layered flavours (in the most literal sense). The way the Shawarma sandwich was prepared had me enjoying the different ingredients back to back. It felt intentional. Definitely recommend you try this place out.

I have been driving past this place for months, finally decided to try it. Came with a mate after work. And we had a mixed experience in terms of food. I had the chicken shawarma. The chicken shawarma is good but weird at the same time. It is a layered shawarma since stuffed in a pita pocket, so you get the chicken first in your bites, and then a section of just your toppings, i.e., cabbage, onions, and lettuce, and then another layered of chicken. I honestly would recommend pouring it out into a bowl, mixing it up, and then putting it back into the pocket. Everything tastes good otherwise. 7.5/10 Chicken Shawarma. My friends chicken on fries a different experience, one in which he did not NJOY. The fries are cooked to order. However, they were a little too well done and oily/greasy. He was struggling to even penetrate the exterior with the fork he was using. After mocking him, he said to try it, and they are not good. If you were to just be eating the fries without the chicken and sauces on top, they may be salvaged with ketchup. But as it is, he ended up chucking the dish and ordered Osmows from the Wilson location. Would not recommend the chicken on fries. 0/10. The staff are friendly and kind, and the interior of the restaurant is clean. I would recommend that you try the chicken shawarma wraps, but avoid the fries completely. Overall, proceed with caution.

Small cozy shawarma place south of yorkdale. Seating on stools, comfortable for a quick bite. Food was excellent! I had beef plate, roasted potatoes were nicely done, sweet and cooked perfectly. Beef was great, no dried out pieces, it was a sweet garlic sauce. I was surprised, never had this before. But it complimented the beef and rice nicely. Salad was fresh with your choice of ingredients and a nice Italian dressing! I will 100% be back. Thank you for a delicious lunch!

the chicken on the rice is amazing. The garlic sauce is on point and the hot sauce is very flavorful. the food comes quickly and is grilled nicely, with crunchy skin and delicious, warm, soft inside. the rice seperates nicely, and the food comes quick. Some more decorations and furniture would be nice in this location. Overall, love it so much every time I come here.
