Namak Handi Whitby

Namak Handi is hands-down one of the best spots for authentic flavors! The Chicken Karahi was perfectly spiced and bursting with rich, bold taste. Their biryani was fragrant, flavorful, and cooked to perfection – every grain of rice was just right. The Malai Handi was a showstopper – creamy, delicious, and so satisfying! Pairing it all with their fresh naan made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving real, traditional Pakistani cuisine. Excellent service and cozy ambiance make it even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Namak Handi is hands down one of the best Biryani place in Whitby. Their Mutton Dum Biryani is excellent. I have had the biryani number of times and it's the same great taste. The beef nehari is fabulous too with Naan. The aroma of Biryani is just something that can't be missed. Look forward to try more of their delicious dishes during my future visits.

1. Solid Chicken Karahi - The best I've had in Whitby or Durham region. The meat was well cooked and just the right amount of spice. 2. Bad Chicken Tikka - Probably among the worst Tikka I've had in a while. It was tough. 3. Service - Not Good, not bad. Could definitely be warmer and inviting. 4. Atmosphere - it's nice and quaint. There is parking at the back as you are never going to find any in front. I'd recommend a take out. I will go back to try more. Update: Visited the restaurant again and tried a few more dishes. The Karahi was solid as usual. Channa Masala was good. So was the Biryani. Better Service however, be prepared to wait for your food. The wait is worth it.

Pretty good spot for some Pakistani food and our new favourite when it comes to catering/takeout. They are located in downtown Whitby but parking is available in the back. It's a cozy restaurant but there is seating for those wanting to dine in. Have found their biryani to be good and generous with the meats as is their chicken karahi.

Its very closed to highway, we were on our way to Montreal, took just 5 min detour and had delicious tea. Perfect place for tea and refresh yourself and keep going. The ambience is great. Hospitality, cleanliness and taste all get 10/10. Highly recommended.

A bunch of us went to this restaurant because they had Brain Masala on their menu, and I was determined to eat this while in Toronto. It is a small, no frills restaurant. We ordered Lahori Fish for appetizers. They looked and tasted more like Fish Pakoras. Not bad overall, but not what I was expecting. For our main dishes we ordered Brain Masala, Haleem and Chicken Karahi (1 kg). The Chicken Karahi was served in a big wok. It tasted nice. The Brain and haleem were served in tiny little containers. Portions are small. Overall, both dishes weren't bad, but nothing to write home about. My quest for a good Brain Masala continues!!

We have been getting takeout from their Pickering branch but always wanted them to open a Dine In place. Finally they did open this in Whitby couple of months back. This is one of our favourite restaurants for Pakistani cuisine! Truly recommend anyone who enjoys Pakistani style Karahis & kababs. Just need to be patient as they take time to make fresh & tasty food.
