Mystic Ramen

An inspired choice by my partner to celebrate her birthday. Our first trip to Mystic was terrific. All the food was delicious - no leftovers, sadly. Several of us had the Jack Frost Fizz from the Christmas mocktail menu and others Sake, a Paper Crane, or soft drinks. I had three small plates - Wafu Broccoli, Mini Chashu Don, and Kaarage (half order). All were really good. Others had Kaarage (full order), Chashu Pork Belly Don,.and my partner had the Spicy Miso (with a Ramen Egg naturally). The staff really add to the upbeat positive vibe at Mystic. Paige was so friendly and helpful. We have several kids with dietary restrictions, and it always boosts a restaurant experience when the front of house staff and kitchen very obviously treat dietary restrictions as needs, not requests. Thanks, Paige! Even on Monday evening visit, Mystic was packed over the dinner rush - a reservation would be a good idea. Great food - check! Delicious beverages - check! Wonderful staff - check! If I could give a 10/5 I would!! The food is INCREDIBLE!! The service is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!! All the staff were amazing. We went to Mystic Ramen when they were in the market and have been dying to true their store front. Heather is so so welcoming, made us feel like long time regular customers. Its so so family friendly with kids meals, kids colouring pages and a treasure chest for them to pick a treat from. Our 4.5 year old son was the first to finish his bowl. He LOVED it. We will be back VERY soon with friends!!

If you’re looking for a dining experience that checks all the boxes, Mystic Ramen is the place to be! Their drink menu is truly out of this world, featuring unique concoctions that perfectly complement the meal. The food itself is spot on—each dish is crafted with care and delivers incredible flavors that will leave you coming back for more. But the real star of the show? The grapefruit pie. Oh my goodness! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. The balance of tartness and sweetness is simply divine, and the texture is perfect. You have to try it! Whether you're drawn in by the fantastic food, the inventive drinks, or the amazing atmosphere, make sure you save room for that grapefruit pie. Trust me—you won’t regret it!

Had a wonderful meal with friends at this amazing find. The atmosphere was spectacular. Love how friendly the staff was and we had a private seating in the lower level. Had the artisanal soda and was pleasantly surprised how good this tasted. Very flavourful. The chicken Gyoza was perfect app to set the meal. The sauce really pairs well. The Chashu Don was well constructed and the side salad was nice and fresh. The presentation of the Shoyu was amazing and the well portioned.

We visited Mystic Ramen in Hamilton as a pitstop/lunch on our way back from Niagara Falls to Toronto yesterday, and found them on Google maps and decided to try them out, did not disappoint. The shop is located in downtown Hamilton on a small and seemly quiet side street populated by other cool little restaurants. From the outside the restaurant is small and not very noticeable, but we can tell it's really busy by seeing quite a few people sitting inside through the windows, going inside it has a chic and hip ambiance, with upbeat music, a video projector projecting Japanese anime videos on a white wall, and really busy on a saturaday at 2:30pm (when most restaurants are winding down their lunch business), We are both vegetarians and they have a relatively nice selection of vegan and vegetarian ramen bowl options, our server was very patient and meticulous in explaining the different vegetarian options and ingredients to us , which we appreciated. We can see thar they have put in a lot of intentional effort to create a menu that is vegan and vegetarian friendly. We chose the curry miso raman and the spicy miso raman, as well as the Passion Fruit Pannacotta dessert. The Ramen are delicious and chewy, the broth is flavorful but a bit more watery than other Ramen places such as Midori which I would have preferred a more thicker and creamy broth, the Pannacotta was quite nice, our server took a bit longer to find out if they have them available when we asked them about ordering the dessert, so they surprisingly and delightedly provided the dessert to us complementary on the house for making us wait for the dessert, that was quite nice of them. We can tell that they really cared about creating a great customer experience for us, its nice to see that in a business. There are a lot of intentionality in the little details which I can see would be some of the reasons why its so busy there Compared to the surrounding vicinity of the restaurant where it seems the business is not very busy and a bit desolate with quite a bit of homeless walking around, this restaurant is a rare Hip and trendy ramen oasis in the heart of downtown Hamilton that is wonderful place to visit, we will come back again when we are in town.

Mystic Ramen was highly recommended by family and it did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious! The best ramen we’ve ever tasted! The atmosphere, food and service were exceptional. We had the edamame for an appetizer (best we’ve ever had) and we had the passionfruit panna cotta for desert which was so refreshing and tasty! Thank you Patrick for the recommendation and it was lovely to meet and chat with Heather.

Mystic Ramen is truly a gem! Not only is the food delicious, but the atmosphere, friendly and outstanding service make every visit a joy. Chef Noah and Heather have created the most warm and welcoming space that reflects their love for food and community. Our favourites include the karaage chicken, curry miso and tantanmen ramens. And the grapefruit pie to to die for. You need Mystic Ramen in your life.

Was finally able to try out Mystic. We went on a quiet Sunday afternoon for some lunch. Awesome and chill vibes as soon as you walk in. Unpretentious and friendly service. Amazing tasty ramen with great quality ingredients. The broth is full of flavor and the noodles are cooked to perfection. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.
