Theft is the best way to describe the show. 50 dollars a ticket for a very poorly performed show. Clearly no thought put into the production, if you can even call it a production. Previously at the old location the show was well thought out and planned. This had no stage , actors could barely fit in the ballroom where it’s held and all audience packed like sardines. No mystery or story. Feel bad for the people who paid > 100 dollars a ticket for the food and show. Do yourself a favour and think very hard before purchasing tickets to this gimmick. For the same cost you could watch any show in Toronto or GTA and could guarantee a better experience . 0/10 overall.

I had always wanted to do one of these ever since I was a kid. I was super excited to get there but unfortunately, extremely disappointed in the production. It cost $137 per person and for that price it seemed extremely low budget. They didn't put much into it at all other than just the actors... and besides Cameron and Tom's wife, the actors were really not that great particularly Maverick, Who's acting was way over the top. It felt like he was trying to impersonate Jim Carrey the whole time, in the worst way possible. Also one of the actresses, Ginger never even bothered to make it to our table... I literally watched her as she looked at our table and then went to the table beside us! So when it came time for the audience to participate in whatever she said to each table our table sat there silent! The food options were extremely limited for what they were charging, especially the dessert options! However, The service from the staff of the hotel was very good, they made sure that any dirty plates were removed from the tables promptly. Thanks to the horrible Toronto traffic my boyfriend and I were running a bit late and arrived when all the people had already been seated at the table. So there was barely enough room for us to pull our chairs up and it felt like we were about a foot away from the table, so it made eating very uncomfortable. It is my strong recommendation that you do not go to this show, but if you do keep your expectations extremely low.

The show was a lot of fun, the actors did a pretty great job. They were funny and engaging. I was really disappointed with the food, I honestly just didn’t think it was worth the value. Also ran into a bit of a mishap regarding a dietary restriction where only some of the ingredients were listed on the dish, and I was told after I had already served myself that a dish I put on my plate had an item I was allergic too. Considering that they asked for my name when I first came in, as well as being notified of my allergy, it probably would’ve been best for them to tell me about this before I served myself. The drinks were really overpriced too, I was pretty surprised that not even soft drinks were included considering the price. The desserts were two bite store bought brownies and cupcakes… If you’re going, just go for the show. The food was just not worth the value. I also went with my partner, he had a fun time.

Wonderful show! We were looking for a murder mystery dinner and show and these guys delivered. They got the audience involved and made it interactive. Tons of laughs. If you like puns they will have loads lined up. Would go again! Thanks guys for a great evening.

Hats off to the actors, they have to work with some cringe material. If you're into sitcom-style jokes, like saying completely irrelevant lines just to set up a dumb punchline, maybe you'll enjoy it. We were stuffed into a giant hotel conference room with the lingering smell of nasty banquet food. Like a low-budget wedding. This company must make a killing at $50-60 a ticket, only to put on what seemed like was just a polished high school play. Over-the-top characters and costumes, contrived dialogue where "clues" are dropped that we, the audience, are then asked to contemplate while getting watered down $10 drinks from hotel cart. This wasn't a brain-teaser - it was more like, were you paying attention to this garbage play? Honestly, we couldn't care less about who murdered who. This was no different from the high school whodunnit's we've had to sit through, for the love of family. Except last week we got fleeced under the bright lights of a stuffy conference room on a Saturday night. Oh, and the entire cast is white. Come ON! I hope the company pays their actors well. I can't imagine having to spew these yuk yuk lines in Value Village costumes in front of hundreds of people. Demoralizing.

A fabulous dinner experience. You will leave satisfied not so much by the food (nothing extraordinary, though I tried just the vegetarian options in the buffet) but the joy of witnessing a Sherlock-ian mystery unfold over 2 hours. You actually get to follow the clues, guess whodunnit anf get rewarded if you're right. Make sure to let them know if you're celebrating your anniversary, birthday etc. They'll be acknowledging every such instance in a nice little way.

Good experience, food is okay at best. Since it’s called dinner and theatre, I would expect a little more. Drink service was very slow. We had to get the wait staffs attention in order to get drinks. The show was entertaining and the acting was good. It’s a very unique and intimate experience, the actors come around and sit at each table in character and interact with the guest. Some guest get asked to participate by contributing a line or two.

Absolutely love this place! My friend and I went to 2 shows in 2 years: Murder by the Books and Murder at Sea (haven't tried dinner with show). The cast is engaging & hilarous. They'll walk around and chat with each table in character, improvise, create a nice comfortable atmosphere, and make current relatable jokes. If you guess the murderer, you can win prizes too! Great place to celebrate and event. Just let them know when booking, and they'll give the birthday guest/anniversary couple/bachelor(ette) a one liner in their script. Note: they don't have a parking lot. I went to indoor lots both times at 75 Holly St & 68 Merton St. Both are Green Parking, $6 after 6pm. Hope this helps!
