Mr Jerk

For my many years of frequenting Mr. Jerk, I have never been disappointed with the food. The jerk was and is phenomenal. However, they’ve adopted a new style of making the Festival, before it was huge and egg shaped, soft and edible. Now it’s made to a pretzel thickness, fried to a total hardness. I wished that I had a hammer to crack it up. It wouldn’t have made a difference, since the soft tasty dough was fried solid. They need to back to the previous method.

Got the Jerk pork lunch, which was well seasoned and tasty, but there were overcooked parts of the meat that were way too hard to chew. Sadly, I had throw out about 15% of the meat because of this, now I'm unsure if it's a regular occurrence or just that day. If, or when I return, I will update this post.

Very very disappointed. I've been a customer for a long long time. Used to get nice pieces of meat. Today though, 3 pork dinners, half of the pork was all fat. I don't know why they would even think of serving this. Not one dinner but 3. Alot of weight straight in the garbage and money wasted.

The lady that serves the food is completely rude and she lacks any type of customer service. She does not have a pleasant demeanor at all she should be placed in the back and let more pleasant persons attend to customers. I walked in and noticed that they started serving new items on the menu and decided to try something other than the jerk pork. I simply asked her if there was pork in the stew peas and the attitude I got from this lady was uncalled for. In the end I realized why she gave me such a nasty attitude because she had to match the food..The Stew Peas is the WORST I have had in all my life. I have never in my life had tomatoes in Stew Peas..it was so nasty and I think they tried to hide the disgusting taste by pouring garlic powder in the food. You could literally taste and feel the grains of garlic in food. I had to throw it out. The jerk pork still remains the best thing of their menu..

Stopped there today. Me and my boy ordered food larg king fish & large jerk chicken was cold after the server asked to warm it up it still came out cold and she still served it anyways. OMFG. Then there was one server with a mean MUG face with no customer services skills what so ever SMFH. And what jerk restaurant don’t have jerk sauce for the love of GOD and your called your self mr Jerk. I don’t want fukN oxtail gravy on my got damm jerk chicken 🍗 I ate but was dissatisfied.

I was in the area for non food related reasons, got HANGRY and popped in here... there was a line up! I ordered extra because everything looked so good!!! Not MY favorite oxtail but was moist, fall off the bone.. The jerk pork is excellent; best I've ever had- order it by the pound! Portions are generous. Very friendly. They work slow and steady and it's worth the wait!

Brought food for the company.. everyone loved it .. great oxtail and jerk chk ...kudos to them Updates 1st April 2022 . Food is great quality and quantity. I wonder how the price for (half chk rice and peas went from 13.99 2weeks ago to 21 today

I wish I could give zero stars because that is what this place deserves. To start things off. The place is dirty, not sure how it gets by health inspectors. Employees are rude and apparently rather be somewhere else. Literally the worst excuse for a roti I have every had. Simply disgusting, nuked piece of garbage, which promptly went into the garbage where it belongs. Waste of$16. Waste of my time.
