Overall, my visit to Mr. Congee was okay. The ambiance was nice, and the service was decent. I tried their signature congee, and while it was good, it didn't quite stand out to me. It was a solid meal, but I expected a bit more in terms of flavor and variety. If you're in the area, it's worth a try, but I wouldn't rush back.

This dish looks like crispy roasted duck paired with a side of sweet chili sauce. The golden-brown, perfectly caramelized skin suggests a crisp texture, while the meat appears tender and juicy. The vibrant sauce adds a tangy and sweet element that complements the richness of the duck.

The food is average, with no outstanding flavors, but the portions are large. The environment is quite dirty. They use the same cloth repeatedly for cleaning without any detergent or disinfectant. The same person who clears the previous table's dishes immediately brings new utensils to you. The utensils feel very sticky.

First time to dine here as we just visited a friend. We didn’t have a reservation but was seated fast. Missy was our server and she was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Food were great as expected and I really liked the fruit bowl dessert they gave us after our meal. I have been to different chinese restaurants and we usually receive a fortune cookie, so this was a good surprise and yummy too! Highly recommended.

Came here for their Afternoon Tea Menu, that’s the best deal, big portion and free Iced Red Bean Slush with Ice Cream. There are also some side dish with only $4, and their portion are big enough to share too. Taste is average but quite a bit MSG in it. Even though, the Fried Squid Tentacles were sooooooo good, it has a crispy coating and tender meat inside, it’s a must-try!! I also like their Roasted Duck, the duck isn’t too fatty that you can only eat fat and skin (which some places do) They have decent amount of lean meat in it. Service was good, the servers were busy but they tried their best to be as attentive as possible. Even they missed one of our drinks order, they apologized politely and gave us back right away. Atmosphere is good, the place is spacious and utensils are clean. Their background musics is a bit louder than usual, but I kind of like it coz it was playing some old songs from 90’s, which my family enjoyed too 😆

Order the set menu. Great value but way too much food for 4 people- hk style lobster peking duck two way, curry crab, soup, snow pea with mushroom as veggies dish and deep fried oyster. Great value if you have 5 plus people

Delicious and fresh Cantonese cuisine, hard-working wait staff, and fair prices. They offer an afternoon tea service from 3pm to 5pm where you receive a free drink and side dish whenever you order a main dish. The fried turnip patty was our favourite side, and the 鱿鱼 is one of, if not, the best I've ever had. The breading is crispy, well-seasoned, and it doesn't fall off the squid.

Afternoon Tea time moved up to 3:00 - 5:00pm. The Wantons noodle soup ($9.50) and the Deep fried wantons ($5.00). Free small cup of HK tea was included. Still best restaurant in Scarborough with good service too. Ordered the Deep fried oysters which was huge and salty taste only. Would be better if it was sautéed with Maggi or teriyaki sauce. The crabmeat and fish maw fish was disappointed and cheated. It is more like dried pig skins (tough to chew) and traces of crabmeat. Well, you can only cheat and scam once and loses business.
