Moxies Bramalea City Centre Restaurant

Great food, decent service. Main dish arrived before the appetizer somehow. Food was very well prepared and absolutely a delicious experience.

Went for company dinner, servers were friendly and not too slow considering the large group. Non-alcoholic cocktails available which was nice.

Hubby & I just ate there a few minutes ago. We always liked dining & drinking at Moxies. This time was a bit disappointing though. Our server was at first very bubbly & friendly but little did we know that these traits will become our disadvantage later on. She failed to be attentive to our requests simply because she spent most of her time chatting & joking with the other customers at a nearby table across ours. We were seated at Table #43.

I went to Moxie’s many years ago and was highly disappointed by the service and the food more than once. It’s had many major changes since I’ve been there last and I will say that the atmosphere is beautiful. A bit dark from my liking, but very good for romantic settings. I came for happy hour and ordered a few drinks and some shrimp tacos and fries. My water came late and when I asked for extra ketchup for the fries, it never showed up until I was ready to leave. The fries were also extremely stale and cold when they first came, but the server was kind enough to get them taken off the bill. The tacos were amazing. The music in the restaurant is a bit loud because neither the bartender nor my server could understand what I was saying to them as I stated I needed my bil and was leaving. It’s also worth mentioning that when my server initially came up to me, she was very friendly but had a nasty, concerning cough. A friend suggested that they were good for their apps and drinks and they were right. Not so sure about the rest. I left a tip because I’m not an asshole, but I was not impressed by this place once again.

Great location for a meal with family, friends, etc. It's got a nice split of a family-friendly half, a Sports-Bar area and a glass-walled but roofless) outer patio that's awesome in good weather. The food menu is a nice mix of burgers, appetizers, some seafood and staples like ribs and wings. The Blackened Mahi Mahi is excellent! This location is just outside the Bramalea City Centre and while parking rights outside is usually adequate, in peak hours that fills up fast but there's tons more parking within that plaza. Not sure what the schedule is but there's sometimes a live DJ too. It's a great location for a quick drink and wings or something more elaborate. The atmosphere is light, friendly and the right amount of helpful with being too hovering.

Saddened that I had to write this review as it used to be a place with reasonable food and great service. Now, the food is subpar and the service is deplorable. I went there during a slow Saturday afternoon, and the staff were more concerned with watching a game on TV than serving the customers. I sat on the patio and had to wait over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I also had asked when I got my meal for a condiment, And he never showed back up. I then had to go to the outside bar. To get my bill in order to pay. On the way out, I did mention to the manager that they are severely understaffed and undertrained, and something needs to be done. Now onto the food I ordered the steak frites and the steak was to be prepared, medium, and it came out beyond well done. The Frites Were cold and barely cooked. I’ve had numerous items from here from the pasta to the Blondie that I must say is always consistent. Probably because it comes from a factory. The patio is OK that’s all I have to say about that. Not sure if I will come back and definitely will not order the steak frites again.

My friends and I always come here after work. Their nachos and sweet potato fries are delicious! We especially enjoyed this time with the great service. Our server Albi was very friendly, very enthusiastic, and made sure that we had everything we needed for a fantastic dining experience. Will definitely be coming back!

Moxie's offers a good experience, especially their pasta – simply delicious! Overall ambiance left a bit to be desired. The restaurant's design, featuring a glass wall to separate the bar and dining area, adds a sense of spaciousness but proved to be less practical during our visit. The noise level was quite high, making it hard to engage in a conversation. A suggestion for improvement: Lower the volume of the bar speakers or consider relocating them to enhance the dining experience. Despite the noise, the pasta may bring us back, with hopes of a more conversation-friendly atmosphere in the future.
