I had a fantastic dining experience here. This restaurant has the authentic atmosphere, the bustling organized chaos, which I find very reassuring. The staff could be seen refilling tea pots, bussing out dishes, restocking dishes, smiling and joking with the customers and each other. Everything that we ordered came out in quick succession, the pan fried pork and Bak choi dumplings were really good, we had the dough twist steam buns, garlic fried Chinese broccoli, lamb Shui mai, steamed beef and celery dumplings, crystal shrimp dumplings and the assorted sweet steamed buns. I can't express how much this meal conjured up memories with my relatives going out and eating. That's really what the food tasted like to me: the memories of family. If I find myself in Toronto again, I will try to find an excuse to eat here.

Lovely lil restaurant with vegetarian and non-vegetarian dumplings + sides!! Absolutely cozy inside. Complimentary jasmine tea. Tons of booth seating. You can see them fold the dumplings live. I thought it was a cozy, family vibe. Super warm ❣️ Dumplings themselves were good, not great, partially for me lacking some flavour on the fillings. Chive pancakes were good. There’s a ton of soya, siracha, chili oil, vinegar, etc on the table to make your sauce. My favourite were the pan fried pork dumplings, or the vegetarian steamed. Portions are pretty huge!! This spot will run you ~$15-20 pp. I regret not trying the BBQ pork bun!

Very vibey spot. It’s fast and they’re really nice! The dumplings are fine. The green onion pancake was good! The boiled and pan fried dumplings were better than steamed for sure. Skip the steamed pork dumplings. They were quite not good. They have good vegetarian options.

Stumbled upon this restaurant and it was overall tasty. Next time I’ll take more of the steamed dumplings over the boiled. Quick Service and social atmosphere. Enjoyed the time and can’t wait to try different dishes in the future!

This place was recommended by some friends and I’m glad we checked them out! We arrived when they opened, we were a party of 9 and were seated quickly. We were served hot tea upon arrival and it was a great way to start our meal! We had a variety of food from dumplings steamed and fried , juicy pork buns, kimchi fried rice, springs rolls, beef and broccoli for entrees and seaweed salad, kimchi and the smashed cucumbers were great sides! Fast and friendly service! 10/10 check this place out if your visiting Toronto !

This is the first restaurant on the Michelin guide where the food doesn’t get five stars. Now, don’t get me wrong, the food in my opinion is good, however it doesn’t completely outshine its competitors. I’ve gone to other Chinese spots where the food was marginally worse but significantly cheaper. If you want to just grab some tasty dumplings (as this is the restaurant’s specialty) and a few additional side dishes, go ahead it’ll be tasty and slightly more expensive. Just don’t come here expecting your mind to be blown. Still, it’s nice and I recommend at least trying.

Stopped in for lunch when the conference I was attending ran out of food and I had to go find something elsewhere. Found out after the fact that it's mentioned on the Michelin Guide website. We ate light owing to our reservations at another Toronto restaurant later in the evening, so we kept it limited to Steamed Dumplings and the Sesame ball dessert.the Steamed dumplings were filled with pork and green onion. They were packed with flavor and prepared quite well. The service was okay. It was a little too warm and humid inside though.

Not really sure why this place is on the Michelin Guide. It’s a really popular, all the seats were taken and there was a line for it. The dumplings are handmade and made fresh. They tasted okay but they are not the best I’ve ever had. I feel like they were a bit lacking in flavor. The chilli oil provided was also underwhelming and didn’t add much to the experience. General Tso chicken was not an order I was proud of, it tasted too tangy and made me feel too bloated after. The staff were all friendly but they were also super busy with all the customers. Overall, there wasn’t a rememberable flavour about the dishes and I’m not sure if it is compelling enough to make me come back.
