Motel Restaurant

One of my favourite brunch spots. I’ve had a chance to go a few times now and love it each time. It’s small inside so make a reservation. I’ve tried the Happiest Tourist, Champagne Pancakes and the Breakfast BLT and always enjoy them with one of their Mimosas. Definitely will continue going back.

It was my first time visiting the motel, and I absolutely loved it!! The food was amazing! I got the chicken and waffles, and the waffles were soft, while the chicken was crispy and well seasoned. We also got the iconic Champagne Pancakes, and the cream combined with the raspberry was rich and creamy.

The food was delicious. Ordered eggs Benny and fried chicken waffles with Drinks. The tater tots were super crispy. Absolutely loved our visit here. Will definitely come back again.

I came across the Motel Restaurant on Tik Tok and so I decided to treat myself to a birthday brunch there a few weeks ago Starting off with the positives, the food was good. I tried the champagne pancakes which were yummy. I also tried the one night in Brussels dish. It was a tad too salty for my liking, but still enjoyable. My husband had the blueberry french toast. He said it was fine, but it wasn't spectacular. Overall the food was a solid 8/10. The service was where it went downhill for me. It felt very cold and unwelcoming. When I entered the restaurant a server at the counter glanced at us and then went back to his conversation. It wasn't until another couple minutes later that another server greeted us. While we were seated, it was nearly impossible to get their attention, almost as if they were intentionally avoiding eye contact. Our only opportunity to speak with the server was when he came to us to either to take our order or serve our drinks/food. On two occasions, my husband would start speaking and they would leave before he could get a word in. The service was also very slow. I understand that the servers have a lot to juggle, but for me a simple "hey I'll be with you in a moment" or "sorry for the wait" would have went a long way. I left the restaurant feeling that I was somehow inconveniencing them by dining there. Overall the food was great but not good enough to overcome the lack of service. Would not recommend based on my experience.

Champagne pancakes 10/10 - the flavour of the compost with the cream and pancakes. Great portion, couldn’t finish it! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 Sugar cured bacon - the yummiest bacon I EVER had! My friend had The Concierge and absolutely loved the home fries

This place was adorable, the vibes were very cute and the service was pleasant. The only downside (albeit a big one for someone like me) was its location, downtown Hamilton. But the pancakes we got were stunning and so delicious, I couldn’t get enough!! I also loved the size, it made the overall dish the perfect quantity.

Absolutely fabulous food and drinks. We had the ‘One Night in Brussels’. Ans the Caesar and mandarin drinks. Everything was extremely tasty and we left fully satisfied. We’ll be back for sure. It seems to be more of a handout place for a younger crowd but we fully enjoyed ourselves.

Had breakfast here on Nov 6, 2020 after eloping at City Hall in the middle of the Covid pandemic. Returned today (Nov 3, 2024) for our anniversary and it’s just as lovely, albeit much busier and louder, lol. Glad my photos from 4 years ago still reflect their current offering. :)
