Montana’s BBQ & Bar

I ordered a 7 oz medium rare sirloin. I sent it back twice. It was rare both times. The third time they brought out the same piece of meat more cooked under the salamander. The steak tasted fine but lots of gristle. The baked potato was hard in the middle and the potato skin was so tough that I couldn’t cut it with a steak knife. By the time I got an edible (not raw) steak the other 2 people in my party had finished their meals. I would have sent it back a third time but I was hungry and it was the only meal that I had that day so I thought I would try to be accommodating to a server who was clearly inexperienced and the restaurant was busy. Service was generally terrible. Talked to someone who looked like the manager 3 times to try to get service. I couldn’t get a waiters attention to complain about the steak when it came out the first time. No ketchup was brought out for the fries and also couldn’t get the waiter’s attention to ask for it. No refills on water without asking. Had to flag down a server to get the bill. While they didn’t charge for the steak but they did charge me $3 for that terrible baked potato. That was the last straw! What an insult! That meal and eating experience wasn’t worth even $3. Took 2 tries to get it removed. Unbelievable! Manager came at the end and promised our next experience world be better. I Don’t believe it! Unlikely to go back there again.

Mostly we are there as family & always has been great experience. Beers, burgers, steaks & ribs are the best to find. Our favourite starter is 4cheese spinach deep. Thank u for such a great service. PS. For the pick time ventilation can be improved :)

Overall it’s a great place to meet up with friends for food and drinks. Lobster tail was way too small compared to the photo. Amazing service. Warm and fun atmosphere. Easy parking in front of the restaurant.

The food is excellent the the service was ultra fantastic. Our server Setia was the best and should be promoted ASAP. The manager Krunal was also super helpful and should also be promoted immediately lol. Because if you’re not 100% satisfied with your food, they will do whatever they can to make it right for you. (Vs the other restaurant in major Mac/dufferin called Chucks). Will definitely come here again to this Montanas (next to silver city cinema). Their service is so good I went ahead to order more food for takeout for another family member at home.

I recently dined Montanas and had a mixed experience. We started with the cheese nachos, which was decent, didn’t come with as many toppings as advertised on the menu. For the main course, I ordered the vegetarian burger, and I must say it was delicious! I would definitely return just for that. However, my friend’s beef steak sandwich left much to be desired, especially considering the price. On a positive note, the highlight of our meal was the side fries—they were amazing and perfectly crispy! We also enjoyed the beer special, which offered great value. We arrived around 8 PM and felt a bit rushed by the staff, as we were finished by 9:15 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 10 PM. I understand how busy the food industry can be, so I don’t hold it against them. Overall, it was a good experience but nothing exceptional.

Food is great, large portions. I’m not sure what changes were made in terms of food prep, but the food didn’t taste as delicious as I remembered from years ago. The waiting time until food is served after ordering is tediously long. I still love this place though ❤️

Standard franchise restaurant, right next to the theatres. Good choice for a quick bite before a movie. Don’t go for any high end steaks here, stick to the simple burgers, wings that sort of thing. Has a comfortable bar area that you can walk right up to. Several big screens for sporting events.

We came in with the kids to eat. The kids had the chicken fingers with fries. Nothing special but it was put on a nice long plate which is very convenient for kids. My wife had the chicken breast with mashed potatoes, which she says was really good. I went all in on the all-you-can-eat ribs. Had the BBQ and the honey garlic. The ribs were fantastic! 🤩 I won't say that it was anything special or something I haven't seen in other places. But the execution here is key. The service was good, the food was great and the place was clean and comfy. I'll definitely come back without the kids to challenge the all-you-can-eat ribs again. 🤩
