This is one that we will be going in to dine in. The fried chicken held up and was still crispy & delicious by the time it reached us. The fries were also awesome, and there was a hint of sugar on them. Totally different than any other fries we’ve had but it worked sooo well.

Plum pickle salt chicken was awesome! It was crispy on the outside with juicy chicken inside. Flavour was sweet and savoury. It hit that late night snack craving perfectly :)

I've been here many times already and the quality of the food has dropped so much. I ordered the same plum flavor fried chicken every time and the taste is always different each time. Sometimes the batter is not fully cooked and sometimes the plum powder is just not enough to taste. Sometimes the chicken taste funny as there is a smell. I asked to add a bit more plum powder in my chicken today because I don't really taste the plum powder. The lady told me there is a charge for it if I want more plum powder. I get it, but I don't feel they put enough at the beginning.😩

Ordered the plum salt crunchy chicken to go a few minutes before they closed. The chicken is uncooked, pinkish and slimy. I have ordered here before and their food is amazing. This was my one treat of the week, ruined 😔. This is hazardous and poses the risk of salmonella poisoning

Great fried chicken! The batter feels closer to what you'd expect on fish and chips than chicken, but it was a welcome change. Very crispy and well seasoned. For the best experience, my advice for the tenders is to try and bite right through to get batter and chicken together. Otherwise you might bite off the batter alone. The spicy tender isn't very hot, I'd give it a 3/10 for spicyness. Good plain, or with plum sauce for dip. Service was quick, considering they batter and fry everything as ordered. Two tender combos took about twenty minutes, so don't expect fast food wait times. The workers were friendly and the restaurant is clean. Worth a visit to try out a new style of fried chicken!

First the positives, a wide collection of flavours. Most I've never seen before, and most sound tasty. Now, my issue is with the overly thick breading that mutes the flavour of the chicken and is borderline off putting. The chicken is freshly fried, and while you're expecting a crispy flavorful skin with seasoned chicken. What you get is a crunchy thick batter (well spiced) with too hot chicken. I ate the fries and flaked off the breading waiting for the chicken to cool. Only to be underwhelmed. Service was solid, they ran a tight ship.

I was quite satisfied when I visited this restaurant for the first time and had to go back for my Friday take out. It's definitely a must visit (dine-in or takeout) if you love fried chicken. I didn't know much about It's food history and I was told that they're a Taiwanese based fried chicken. They use fresh chicken fillets marinated with honey, dipped in batter instead of dry flours, and fried to perfection so that every bite of Monga Fried Chicken is thick, juicy and tender at the same time. I tried their original chickens and spicy chicken with sweet potato balls, sweet potato and regular fries, and shrimp bao. Every bite was delicious! They usually have one cashier and one cook but pretty fast. Costumer service is very welcoming and friendly. They will explain every details on their menus if you're unsure what to order. Also, I suggest you download their app, Monga Fried Chicken so you can redeem one free dish. It's so worth it.

Monga does it right. Their Taiwanese style fried chicken is hard to beat and the seasoning they use is out of this world. I’m hooked on their Misty seasoning which is their plum flavor. For those uninitiated, the plum powder they use tastes very similar to those dried salty and sour plum candies you find at Chinese supermarkets. Doesn’t sound like a fit with fried chicken, but it’s out of this world. It takes about 10-15 minutes for them to make your chicken so try ordering ahead online if you’re in a hurry.
