Mona's Roti

10/10 every-time, my favorite item to eat here is their doubles, best I’ve EVER had coming from this Jamaican, chicken to veggie to shrimp, goat…just delicious, tamarind balls, jerk chicken. Try it all!

First thing is first: *There should be a warning when you order curry mango with your roti. YOU CAN SLICE YOUR MOUTH OPEN* if you aren’t careful. The fact that there are shards of pit in it is just pathetic and straight up DANGEROUS. I cannot believe there was no mention of this when I ordered it in my roti. Doubles were maybe 5/10, goat was very little amounts in the roti also. DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE. I spent 60$ and can’t say I enjoyed anything from my order.

The roti was ok but too thin so it falls apart. Their Doubles are terrible, the bara is thick and they only put tamarind sauce and pepper, it’s terrible. There’s nowhere to sit and eat and the roti skins if you want it on the side are room temperature, and the food is like warm. Place looks clean enough but it seems what they really focus on is making roti skins. If you want an authentic Trini experience this is not the place. I’ll never go here again. Saw this place on a social media post that made it look so good, but don’t waste your time.

Authentic and flavourful dishes, with freshly made roti that you can see being prepared by a team of aunties as soon as you enter. I tried the curry chicken with dhal puri roti, and it was delicious—perfectly spiced and rich. I also had the doubles and it was amazing. The pepper sauce has a nice flavour and kick to it. The service was excellent; the staff were friendly and efficient. This was my first time at the restaurant, and I felt very welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual meal. There is no seating area, but if you want to eat in the restaurant, there’s a ledge for you to eat on. The restaurant is located in a plaza with free parking, but it can get crowded during peak hours, so I recommend visiting early. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend giving this place a try!

One of my favourite roti shops in Toronto. Restaurant has an awesome open concept where you can see everything being made. The curries are always delicious and roti is always fresh! My go to is always the goat roti with potatoes and extra hot sauce. One of the best restaurants in Scarborough for sure!

This place is amazing! I loved the food. I have honestly never tried better doubles in my life. I also had the veggie medley roti, and it was very tasty. The service was also great. I would definitely recommend it, and I will try to go again!

Loved the Roti! We are from upstate NY and don't have access to a good place to find it, so this was a nice treat. The only downside is the area around the store is a little sketchy. Otherwise staff was friendly and service was very quick!

Good system, good food! Doubles are strong (not best I’ve had locally) and realizing I’m not a big fan of Dahlpuri on the side. Ox tail was well made! Really like that I got to pick vegetable when ordering online. Will be back. Update: WOW to that Fry Bake & Salt Fish on Fridays and Saturdays. Such great flavours and textures with pepper and tamarind. Can eat more for sure! Curry Duck Roti amazing too
