Molkagtez Mexican Cuisine is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
We are an authentic Mexican restaurant started in 2023 at the heart of Toronto on Queen Street West! In the front, we have a beautiful bar and restaurant space filled with Mexican murals, and in the back, we have our beautiful covered and heated Tulum Jungle Patio. Our food is based on tradition, using volcano-inspired bowls to heat up Molcajete dishes! We are so much more than just tacos, but we do have some of the best in the city, not to mention ceviches, fajitas, soups, tostadas and salads, and if you are brave, authentic Mexican critters in your nachos and guacamole! We are also all about our tequila and have some incredible tequila and food deals throughout the week!

Came here after a Christmas show with the family and it was amazing! Service was outstanding even though the restaurant was full and the servers took the time to recommend dishes & drinks. We shared three different types of tacos and the guacamole with crickets, everything was amazing. The margaritas were also delicious, we were tempted to try every flavour available. Can't want to come back here!

Absolutely a gem, the tacos were delicious. My friend even said this is the best baja fish tacos he ever had :) The pulled pork tacos were both flavourful and juicy. Everything on the menu was reasonably priced, around $15 a cocktail, which still sounds crazy but nowadays many places charge you a meal of a price for a drink. The only complaint I have was the chips of the guacamole which can be more fresh but it could also be just the batch.

The drink was good but the nachos and tacos could have been better. Not a huge fan of the corn tacos, as they are quite bland. Aside from that the atmosphere was cool and different from other restaurants, as they really embraced the Mexican culture. I just wish the music from the tv had english subtitles and there were some more Spanish songs that are popular in Canada as well.

I had a bit of a hiccup while booking a table through OpenTable, but the team at Molkagtez was incredibly understanding and quick to apologize. They invited me back and promised an amazing experience, and they certainly delivered! We were seated in the back patio, which felt like a slice of Mexico right here at home. The atmosphere was enhanced by live music, making it a truly immersive experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were top-notch. The highlight of the evening was the live Lucha Libre entertainment, which added an unforgettable touch to our night. A huge thank you to Bogdan for his assistance and to the owner for coming out to introduce himself and ensure we were well taken care of. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic evening!

This place was such a vibe! 🤩 Amazing service, atmosphere and food was phenomenal! We sat in their jungle patio and really enjoyed it. All of their food was so on point 👌🏼 everything we ordered was extremely delicious. I especially loved their salsa picante (hot sauce) which is made in house! I literally put that on EVERYTHING 🙈 including my margarita to make it spicier! If it was bottled and sold, I would’ve easily bought a few bottles. 1000% recommend!!

Everything about this place is 10/10! From staff, service, ambiance, drinks to food. Their patio in the back is amazing. We were celebrating a birthday and had a great time. We ordered Pina colada, bulldog, and mango Margherita cocktails. All of them were fantastic. For appetizers, the elotes were tender, the nachos and flautas were delicious. For mains, birria ramen and birria tacos are a must try! Chicken enchiladas and chicken tinga tacos were also good. They surprised us with a Alice of tres leches and 4 shots along with music and singing on account of the birthday we were celebrating. It was so nice and thoughtful. Very happy we dined here. We'll definitely be back for more!
