We did a sashimi and sushi platter. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. I have also tried their salmon poke bowl before and was not impressed. They put a lot of 'crunch' on top and the bowl turned too sweet.

Unfortunately after giving this place a second try, it was a disappointing experience. The sushi rolls were soggy rice and spicy salmon rolls had a fishy taste which we couldn’t finish. The tempura was the best thing out of what we ordered which was light and crispy. Miso soup was way too salty :(. I wish this place was better as it is in a convenient place for me.

The sushi is not prepared in front of you; can easily get crowded since it is a quite small space. The vegetables can be sourced from a better place because they taste like wet rags. My guess is that they get it from the No Frills up the street. The staff are nice.

Check out @bredgyeats for more delicious food pics! Salmon + Black Dragon Roll - It's always an enjoyable experience. I might be slightly biased since I love it so much and eat it so often, it's kind of hard to mess up.

Have gone to higher end sushi places and paid a fortune. Decided to not break the bank to get my wasabi buzz and tried this little nook. Paid $9.50 for a glass of Sawmill Pinot Grigio. No measure on the menu but it was a very generous pour!! I only drink white with my sushi and I don’t care for small glasses of wine and that lofty markup. The one glass of wine got me through my meal and some left over to sip at the end. The nigiri was 2 pieces each and were big pieces. The price was way cheaper than the other high end sushi places. I would say the grade of sushi did not seem as high as the other expensive places but I ate 14 pieces of nigiri and it was great. I will definitely go back here again. The fish was really fresh, that is what matters most to me. And the cost was cheap for that quality of sushi

While the ambiance of the place might not catch your eye at first glance, the culinary delights served here more than compensate for it. In a world where genuine Japanese cuisine can be hard to come by, Moegi Sushi Shop stands out as a beacon of authenticity and culinary brilliance. Highly recommended for anyone seeking to indulge in the true essence of Japanese dining. Each cuisine is a masterpiece, crafted with the freshest, highest quality ingredients, and an attention to detail that surpasses even the most renowned high end establishments we've visited.

Fantastic, fresh and delicious sushi from this little family run hidden gem! My partner and I enjoyed everything we ordered and were surprised by the freshness of the food. Portions were great value and the rice to meat ratios are on point. They have a huge menu with all lot of sushi/sashimi options and unique rolls, along with a large kitchen menu. Keep in mind this is a family run spot and they do not boast a large staff, so if you are in a big rush/looking for something fancy look elsewhere. But if you want to enjoy an incredible meal with super friendly service in a charming, homey environment, then look no further!

I decided to try this place for once since it was new on Skip and I’m so glad I did. It was $18 for the sashimi combo and I was shocked (in a good way) at the huge size of the pieces! I also got a salmon poke bowl and it was a great size and tasted fresh and delicious. They also gave me some noodles for free, and I didn’t even realize until I got home! The couple running the restaurant when I went to pick up my order were so kind. I think I found my new favourite place :)
