Miyako Sushi

It's become a regular routine of mine to stop by when I've had a hard day. The staff are always kind, prices consistently reasonable, and the tempura, gyoza, salmon fry, and katsu udon have perfect flavour and texture every time.

Miyako has been our sushi spot for years. No matter which new restaurant we try, we always go back to Miyako. The owner is friendly and always smiles and waves on pickup and the sushi is the best in the city. The proportion of rice in the rolls is perfect and not the mention the quality of the rice. You won’t get it like that anywhere else that you dine. It’s perfectly seasoned and doesn’t fall apart like rolls you get elsewhere. The cucumber is perfectly cut and you aren’t chomping into thick slices of cucumber in your roll. The only thing I would prefer is if the sashimi was cut a bit thinner (but that’s a personal preference). We love Miyako and always swear by it. Our staple roll is the dynamite roll. It’s definitely a mouthful, but it is so well done.

We ordered for a party last evening and we made sure about allergies. Three of us, including myself are allergic to shellfish. (Once I’ve had anaphylactic shock due to shrimp). Despite all flags about this, our order came completely wrong and mixed up with shrimp.

The portions are generous and the food is delicious. It looks like they might have a loyal following in the neighborhood as I see a lot of walk-ins ordering take out. Will definitely return with the rest of the family.

This is my Go To place as it's pretty nearby. By far the best Value for money sushi place !!! Lovely food !! Amazing taste !!! They have amazing combos !!!! Lunch here is the cheapest ! Never had lunch here but :((( Always had the Sushi Combos - Combo D is my Favourite 🍣♥️ They also have amazing Salad & Miso soup which is filled with veggies and not just a watery mess like other sushi places !! 🍵 I love this place and i recommend this place to the Max !! 🥂😍💝

After 10 years from my first visit, this is still the best hole in wall for sushi Quality, portion and prices are very competitive. Try it out if you're in the area.

Even though you can dine in, this is a takeout place. The interior is not as good as their sushis. Service is okay and Sushi is just superb! Not only the taste, variety but the size was huge... I love it. Update: we came 2 years later and the quality still is there! Sushis are HUGE and tasty! We had the Black Dragon, Green Dragon and the Rocky Roll. All of them, delicious, with a great presentation and great timing! The service has considerably improved. They are sooo nice! I highly recommend them for dine in or take out!

Surprisingly good sushi made here. Combos are very affordable and you get a 10% discount if you pay for your takeout in cash. Eating in is not recommended, the interior is far from fine dining, to put it nicely. Also hard not to notice the tuna was very artificially colored. For the price and considering the location, its reasonable to assume the fish isn't exactly fresh, but it's still pretty good.
