Mix2 Grill & Hot Pot

Came here for hot pot and grill and ended up pretty disappointed. Couple things I’d like to mention. 1. No ventilation on tops of each table as other bbq restaurants 2. No bbq seasoning but only traditional Chinese hot pot seasoning and some salt and pepper by the table 3. No staff checked on our table for grill change or extra soup for the hot pot 4. No plate offered for bbq. Only one bowl is provided 5. Mussel is the size of my thumb, aka clam size 10/10 will not come back and will not recommend to my peers

They don't clean the cups properly. I'm glad I checked before drinking, cause my cup had lipstick stains on it. The food is not that good, it is a very average place and they have no good variety for drinks. The staff was acting a little weird and looking impatient even tho we ordered everything pretty quickly.

Amazing experience! This is the only halal hotpot place in toronto and it’s fantastic. The service is amazing - thanks to Jason and all of the other employees. The meat is so fresh along with all the other veggies. Also very clean environment.There is no cross contamination from their pork options with their halal meat options. Truly a gem - 10/10 recommend.

Great experience, a lot of fun cooking to your taste at the table. All the meats were Halal as requested. The marinated beef and sliced meats were all incredibly tasty - the Tomyum broth in the hotpot was our favourite. Spice level can match your preference. The grill was a lot of fun as well; everything cooks very quickly. Our server, Gray, took really good care of us and helped picked out the popular items / favourites. The fried bread and condensed milk desert is a must-have! Only con, which is a given, your clothes, jacket, hair will all get soaked in bbq smell. The exhaust system could possibly be better? Not sure. Parking prior to 9pm is difficult - but that's downtown Toronto; nothing new.

WOW. This place is our go to and we absolutely love it every time. They are super quick and very friendly. The food is just delish. 10/10 recommend.

What an amazing experience! Pros- -They have halal meat and keep it separate -The hot pot broth especially tom yum was top notch -All the meats are top quality -Chicken wings were soo good -Dessert was bomb too! Cons- I wasn't a big fan of the grill You have to try this atleast once!

This was my first and last time at this place. We had a reservation for 6:30pm and arrived few minutes early. There was no one at the entrance to greet customers and when finally someone showed up, even though there were several empty tables, was very rude telling us that we had to come back at the exact time. When we were seated the guy explained us how to order, indicated the cost and also informed us that a 15% service fee was going to be added. I really don't mind a 15% tip or service fee if the service is good but here I wouldn't add any if I had the option to do so. The service was very bad, almost inexistent. We had to wave our arms in the air to catch the attention of a waitress every time we wanted something. The grills show burned grease all around and we had to call few times to get them exchanged. The noise level is very high and there is not enough exhaust fans or ventilation, therefore there is a lot of vapor and smell of food in the air. All our clothes ended saturated. I found the price expensive for the quality of the restaurant and the food. For the same price there are a lot of places offering Korean BBQ with a much better food quality and service.

This was my second time eating at Mix2 Grill. The last time I dined there was 2 years ago, and I can say that the taste and service have deteriorated. It's good that they have halal options, and we were a little late, but they made sure we could order at the very last minute. However, the table was sticky, and the ventilation needs to be better - my clothes smelled like BBQ. I know of other places that serve Korean BBQ and have better ventilation. In short, we wouldn't go there again until they improve their ventilation and food quality.
