Midfield Wine Bar

Midfield is my favourite place!! The wine list is wonderful with special descriptions under each wine, there was this wonderful creamy and textured chardonnay blend which I am still dreaming about . Not only a wine bar, midfield is also a food gem in the city! the chef has a farm where the vegetables are grown with love and you can tell, there are very creative/thoughtful dishes with the best seasonal ingredients. I have especially loved when celtuce is in season and on the menu, but year round the salmon crudo in its different iterations always hits the spot. Beyond the food and wine, the atmosphere is warm and very cozy. Everyone working is always incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and they seem to have an uncanny knack for recommending what I should drink, its like we have the same palate. If you're looking for a place with amazing wine, outstanding food go to Midfield!!!!

The experience at this wine bar was mixed. The wine selection was quite okay, and the food quality we tried, i.e. the Salmon Crudo, was very good. However, the music didn't quite match the ambience of the place. Jazz (and definitely not hip hop) would probably have been a better fit for the atmosphere of a wine bar. The service left something to be desired, as the host seemed more engaged in chatting with guests at the bar rather than attending to other patrons. While the decent wine and very good food were positive aspects, the overall experience could be improved with better music selection and more attentive service.

I had a disappointing experience at here last night. We ordered a $130 bottle of red wine, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. The waitress struggled to open the bottle and eventually returned with the wine in a jar, claiming there was an issue but that she had filtered it. The wine tasted like vinegar, likely due to improper storage conditions. When I asked to send it back, the owner became hostile. After some back and forth, he grudgingly admitted the wine was off but accused us of not understanding what makes a good wine. As someone from France, with a deep appreciation for fine wine, I can confidently say this was far from normal. I expected much better from a restaurant at this price point. I won’t be returning.

Great wine bar located on Dundas W Toronto. The ambience was amazing and the wine selection was comprehensive. However, the biggest surprise for me was the food. It surpassed my expectations. We ordered Pedro Ximenez wine - which we rarely see in most wine bars. The wine itself was interesting but the sherry notes were too prominent for my liking. The food was excellent. We picked the kampachi crudo (my fave), squash, gnocchi (least fave) and the market fish. The nori jam on the kampachi was the highlight for me. Additionally, it was great to see the menu is seasonal. All in all, it was a lovely experience and I’d recommend it!

Such a great, cozy environment surrounded by wine and plants! Staff is super lovely and friendly. Great variety of wine and interesting dishes to choose from. I went for the hen of the woods mushroom dish, rarely see it being on menu and it was tasty! Definitely recommend and will be back.

Amazing boutique wine bar, amazing selection of glass wines that change every week! Loved the experience! The food was spectacular! And the team was wonderful ! For sure to come again! Must go to !

Went here the other night with business partners. Reservations were made over the phone and super pleasant. Table was ready for us when we got there. We each ordered a main, a drink, cheese board and desert. Everything was great. I love the produce used and the presentation. Portions aren't huge but you get to try lots of different items. I see a lot of mentions of price in reviews and I don't know where those come from. The price point is exactly where it should be for the size and portion you get. Some of the dishes are very adventurous with flavors and combinations, to success. Try it!
