Merci Mon Ami was a concept originated by the owner Cindy MacDougall in January 2008. The bistro was a concept created after the success of her catering company established in June 2002. Both businesses operate under her leadership and to this day have a family style love for both employees, customers, and food.

This is a cool little spot in Liberty Village that serves delicious sandwiches. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table, or their cute little patio in nice weather. The Chicken Parmesan sandwich was spot on: crispy, tender chicken with just the right amount of marinara sauce and cheese on a fresh, toasted bun. The side salad was delicious and perfectly dressed. Judging from the amount of takeout going out the door on a Monday, the locals like this bistro too. If you’re in Liberty Village, or want to avoid the rubber chicken food at Exhibition Place, you should check them out.

The baguette and salad tasted good, however it’s definitely overpriced. For $20 I only got like 5 grams of turkey and a couple slices of mushrooms. The rest is just some kind of soaked bread. I took the photo before eating it.

Today was my first time here.. I had the burger special today it has to be one of the best tasting burgers I’ve ever had !!! The French fries were amazing too!! I def recommend and can’t wait to try more items on the menu .. I also had the house salad with sesame vinaigrette … one word, amazing !!!!!

Instantly felt welcomed the moment I walked in! Atmosphere felt warm like home. Service was immaculate and the food was really delicious!! Polina especially was a perfect server, constantly offering up good dishes to try and checking on us constantly! Would 100% come back and I heavily recommend eating here!

I am so impressed by this spot I stumbled on today. Their interior was warm, simple and stylish. Their house salad with chicken was fresh, healthy and delicious - caramelized walnuts, dried apricots and that sesame vinaigrette... it was heaven. I also really enjoyed a souvlaki pita salad with a chicken skewer, and I live next to Greektown - I can tell this is top quality food! PLUS, they have all their sauces and vinaigrettes for sale and they do catering!! Will be back for sure.

Pretty good chicken souvlaki with a tasty quinoa salad on the side. Lovely patio. Though it took a really long time to order considering it was 1pm on a Wednesday... Also overpriced for the portion.

I have been going to Merci Mon Ami for lunch for years and my work use them for catering when we have office events/visitors. I have to say their food has never been disappointing... always using fresh local ingredients and simply delicious! Their daily specials are amazing too - Wamburger Wednesday (see image) might be my favourite. Oh wait... and Souvlaki Thursday!

Service was very good. Totally accomodated my no dairy requirement. Seating at communal tables very limited. Cold roast beef that came straight out of a package on a hard banquette with fries or salad was a disappointment. Special was hamburger with fries or salad. Had to pass on the hamburger as there was cheese inside the burger mix.
