We stopped by Menali a few weeks ago for a date night dinner on the weekend. The restaurant is well rated and has a good amount of variety in Indian (and Hakka) cuisine on the menu. The restaurant is a lovely space. There's plenty of seating here. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We ordered a variety of dishes. Starting with chilli fried Momos, which was not enjoyable as they seemed a bit overdone. Momos are generally light and fluffy. In this case, the outer crust was crisp but then the Momo as a whole was quite chewy. The 'chilli sauce' is quite flavourful and savoury, while a little on the salty side. Not a bad starter but I would avoid the fried version. For our mains we ordered tandoori shrimp, saffron rice and an eggplant curry. The shrimp were a miss. They were overcooked and chewy. The mint sauce however is quite good. The eggplant curry is a little on the sweeter side but we both enjoyed it. It's creamy, savoury and spiced nicely. Paired with rice or naan this was excellent. Lastly the naan and rice here are pretty good. Saffron pilav was good but again not worth the price imo. Overall, this is a pleasant restaurant for a nice meal but if you're looking for good Indian food, Menali might disappoint.

Dumplings are like your mom's purse, always filled with goodies, and these momos have a tangy and smoky char on the exterior, marinated in a creamy yogurt sauce and filled with a savory chicken/onion filling. It's finished with a dollop of creamy coriander chutney, mayo and hot sauce to your liking. Got the Tandoori Momos.

This is my second time ordered take out from Menali. Great Service and Amazing Food! Would definitely go back. I ordered a chow mein with eggs and the portion is very reasonable. The second pic is after I finished my meal and I can still have another meal from this order.

We came here with a group of friends and had a very pleasant evening. This is a family restaurant and they provide great customer service and high quality food. Their menu includes Nepali, Indian, and Hakka cuisine, including vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. We ordered “Tandoori Momo”, “Mountain Hariyali Momo”, “Chow Mein Hakka”, “Goat Korma”, “Chicken Tikka Masala”, “Garlic Naan” and “Butter Roti”. They also serve Papadum as a complimentary appetizer. Our food was very fresh and delicious. Momo’s are handmade and fresh and we enjoyed them. Korma and Chicken Masala tasted great. We enjoyed the food and the vibe.

I recently dined at Menali Restaurant with friends, and it was a fantastic experience from. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff were attentive and friendly. Speaking of the food, it was delicious! The menu offers a great variety, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything tasted incredibly authentic. I’ll definitely be back soon! The mountain momo is amazing!

This was my first visit to Menali - but it won’t be the last! Service was so friendly, including recommendations. The flavors were so distinct and fresh. We started with the chili momos and mountain hariyali momos (both chicken, though vegetable versions are available) and had the madras chicken, chicken saag and bhaigan (eggplant) with jeera rice and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and at the perfect spice level (medium). Highly recommended 🌟

So happy to discover this new neighbourhood gem! Lots on the menu to choose from, and our friendly server was more than happy to suggest her favourite dishes. We tried the Nepali Salad (a very refreshing blend of seasoned potatoes and chopped cucumbers), the Mountain Hariyali Momos (chicken momos baked in a green herb and yogurt sauce), and the Chicken Chow Mein noodles. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavour, and very affordable priced for the size of the portions. We left with full bellies and a bag of leftovers! Will definitely be back to try a few more dishes.
