The fish was excellent. Unfortunately with tip a couple pops, two halibut and some fries cleared 80 bucks. The fries were ok, but at this price point I expect fresh cut. The fries where a let down which is a bit surprising at this price point. I don't expect much, but at a lower price I can get better fries at 5 Guys burgers. Improve your fries and this super high price will feel a bit more worth it. Everything else was great.

I can't believe how expensive fish and chips are now. $50 for 2 small fish and chips which were good. Make sure everything you pay for is in the bag when you receive it in the store "take out" as they forgot the paid for Coleslaw.

I had their Halibut fish and chips... absolutely the best I've ever had since my days at Jane and Wilson - Crang Plaza, late 60s / early 70s. The piece of Halibut was the thickest, biggest, and most consistent I have ever had... and their chips are also amazing!!... I ate them all, and I usually don't do that at other fish and chip shops. I have never been here before, but I will make a point of stopping every time I want fish and chips. Thanks for such a great meal!!

Had a wonderful experience with food quality and service here. We had Clam Chowder, creamy coleslaw and the McNie’s special (which has Halibut, shrimp and Scallops) and fries. All are made to the point of perfection. We have tried fish and chips in so many places but this is the best place to go so far. Seafoods are fresh, the batter is so crispy but we can feel a little bit of chewy on it. Fries portion is generous. I dont think that I can go to other fish and chips place after trying McNie’s. Well done!!! 👏👍

Ultimate Guide: McNie's Fish & Chips Revealed Hi pvcrazyforfood viewers, Visited McNie's Fish and Chips restaurant to try their Halibut fish which I have been told is that they are The King of Halibut. I started with trying Crab Cakes with tartar sauce, and then I was served with fresh and hot Halibut Fish and Chips. I also meet the current owner who purchased the business from Mc Nie's in 2005 and since then they are running the restaurant. This is a decent place to have a nice fish and chips. They are also known as THE KING OF HALIBUT. I gave 6 out of 10 for their HALIBUT and chips. Shout out to Ross for recommending this restaurant tome. So I visited McNie's Fish & Chips, 315 Burnhamthorpe Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9B 2A2 Thanks again. Please like, Share And Subscribe My YouTube channel.

I would not order from here again. We ordered the haddock and chips. The haddock was over cooked and waaaay too breaded and very oily. The fish was dry yet the bread was thick and oily/greasy… Big waste of money. Fries are okay but not salted we had to add salt at home.

A small cozy restaurant on a busy street. Service was fast and the waitress was very nice. Food was excellent though I would prefer to have less batter on my fish but it was still delicious. Fries were thick but crispy outside and soft inside. They give you lots of fries so order accordingly. They don't serve alcohol. The entrance is a bit tricky. We were lucky to find a parking spot a couple of steps from the restaurant and you cannot find a better spot than that. Prices are competitive. We will definitely go back.
