Maurya Indian Twist (Oakville) is a new restaurant in Oakville opened more than 6 months ago.
With Decades of Excellence, Maurya has been and will always remain a family owned. This concept originated at the heart of Toronto and is considered by many to be the best place for Indian Roti in the neighborhood and perhaps the city – our guests can often be found traveling from out of the area to feed their craving for our Rotis. As it is transitioning into the next generation, Maurya ventured into the fusion menu where all the original Indian spices have been home-blend to suit the local Canadian palate. The Emperor of Indian Spices welcomes everyone to this one spot craving stop, where the East meets West!

The food was absolutely phenomenal Bette than any Indian restaurant I’ve been to in Oakville or the gta. Would recommend the Gobi Manchurian over anything. Many choices from Indian to Chinese and a fusion too. 11/10 would recommend, photo is of the loaded cheesy samosa. 😍🥰

We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Our server was extremely helpful with answering our questions and making recommendations. The dishes we ordered were flavourful and generous in size.

Good place to have Indian food. Nice ambience, relatively quieter place. Spicy orange soda and rumali roti were tasty. Curries were good too. Price reasonable!

Food is alright but I've had better. I usually go to Punjabi by Nature in Oakville but since they were about to close I came here instead. The reviews on Google seemed pretty promising. Maurya was really easy to find late at night, it has two huge bright signs right off of Lakeshore. Parking was ample and there's two sides, on the left is their takeout building (they still have seating available) and on the right is their restaurant side. Same exact menu just different atmospheres. I like that their menu was easy and well organized, and they had a chart to where you could customize your dish's spice level. Pricing I found to be a little up there especially for the portion, there was an extra $2 charge for rice which I was like bruh, since at other places rice is typically included. I got chicken tikka masala over rice which came out to $20 after tax and it was the size of a Chipotle bowl. If I had ordered the chicken by itself it'd have come out to around $17 after tax. The portion of chicken was pretty solid in my opinion, nice large chunks of super soft breast meat. Rice was well portioned as well. The thing that threw me off a little was the curry itself, whenever I have tikka (paneer, lamb, chicken, etc.) it always comes in a smooth orange colored gravy, but this one was red and chunky with green bell peppers, little more on the savory side. It tasted more like butter chicken?? I'm not complaining because it was good and I ate the whole thing, just not what I was expecting. Maybe it's a regional thing because I know certain areas do their dishes a little bit differently. The lady at the register was really sweet and gave me a free small side of raita, which was GAS. Surprisingly one of the best raitas I've had lol. I ended up getting one kesar kulfi, and while expecting a popsicle as how it was advertised on the menu, I got this tiny 4oz portion for SEVEN DOLLARS. :| It was rock hard and I couldn't eat it with the wooden utensils they provided because it snapped on me. Flavor was good though. My experience was a solid 6/10. Not sure if I'd come back but wouldn't not recommend to people who are looking for a late night Indian spot. Probably don't order the kulfi though.

The worst samosa chaat i ever had, i had a delivery order of samosa chaat , and it looked like this, Tbh there were no samosa found in this chaat.. kinda a chaat without samosa. It was disgusting in taste and appearance.

Came here to grab a quick bite cause we were in the area. Service was quick and accomodating and food was amazing for the price although I would reccomend ordering very hot as we got medium hot and could barely taste any semblance of spiciness. Overall a wonderful experience and I would definitely be back again. (The mango lassi was also amazing). Total came out to be $80 for 2 ppl after tax and tip but we ordered a lot.

Another online order review: Disappointed with my current Uber order. Bought buy 1get 1 curries and was excited to try these new additions: Achari Soya chaap & Chicken do pyaza but it was the same curry base as their chana masala, just fancier name. Lowering my rating by 1 star. Online order review : * Veggie bullets are not worth the price. Served 2 but too small even for a quick bite :/ * I was a fan of their garlic rotis but recently my online order rotis are not as fresh as they used to be, which is quite disappointing. Updated: Ordered their Garlic crispy cauliflower was it was yum!! Just the right amount of sweet and crisp! Their Garlic roti with paneer tikka masala is a must try ❤️ed it !!! Tried this indian place and their chicken biryani was really tasty! All the flavors are there and the chicken was tender! Do give it a try 👍 Samosa Chaat was okay okay for me. Was served some papads too - on the house. The staff was very friendly. If you are in the area, do check them out as the food is healthy and cooked in less oil.. thumbs up for that! 💯
