Have loved Mattachioni for a long time but visited recently and ordered a sandwich to go and was pretty disappointed. I ordered the salmon sandwich which I have had a number of times, but on this last visit there was barely any salmon in my sandwich. It was mostly arugula which I didn’t see till I got home and opened it up to put that pepperoncini sauce on it (which has also been minimized to a sad amount). The bread sliced for the sandwiches are also much thinner than they used to be.

Clean and simple pizza flavors with a consistent vibe. The servers were all super friendly, and it was such a chill dining experience. Oh, and don’t miss their happy hour! You can get tasty cocktails at a great price—totally worth it.

Often come for an easy lunch. I swear this salad looks totally unassuming but it was delish. Perfectly cooked salmon, potato, crispy croutons, the egg….🤤. Rly cute inside, GF cookie was yummy too. Couple next to me eating sandwiches which looked DELISH. Just be prepared to hurt the bank a little

A cute little Italian restaurant in the Junction with soft, pillowy, and delicious sourdough sandwiches. I ordered the S. Carlino ($19) panini, which had amazing roast beef, caramelized onions, pickles, dijonnaise, and arugula. The ingredients created a very rich and sweet flavour (maybe on the sweeter side for some), a true flavour explosion. The sourdough was incredibly fresh and soft, and the sandwich reminded me of those sandwiches that you'd pack to school as a kid, but 1000x better. The service was incredible and there's a cute little shop inside as well! It's a bit on the pricier side, but I'd highly recommend giving this place a try if you want to treat yourself.

Popped in to try their lemon olive oil cake but disappointed that they weren’t ready til later in the day :( But that’s ok because I sat and tried their mortadella sandwich on housemade focaccia and salads. The most pillowy soft bread, slight chew with fresh mozzerella and mortadella. Simple no fuss perfection! I hate messy sandwiches that end up all over you hands, face and plate. The generous-sized salads were very fresh and enough to share. This was for breakfast! I also was able to pick up items from their bakery area to enjoy at home: day old focaccia is still fluffy and fresh like it was baked today, plus their famous sour dough wood-fired loaf (gorgeous full-bodied flavour with fluff, dense, crisp texture), and bomboloni! I chose lemon and pastry cream… lemon being my favourite! Full of sweet, tart, lemony curd. Will be back for pizza and olive cake next time! Our server was very kind and helpful and made us feel at home.

Came here with a friend for lunch! They’re both a restaurant and a little bakery. You can buy day old bread for cheaper, alongside all their other products. It’s pretty small, the chairs are a bit high so it was kind of awkward at first, but that’s just small details. The staff were so kind and warm, I loved their energy! My friend got the salad while I got the pizza. The pizza was a bit too oily and it dribbles down as you try to eat it, so it can get messier than you’d like. But you get a side of some kind of chilli on the side so that’s a bonus! I LOVED the crust. It was genuinely thin crust, crispy, airy and chewy. I think they do bread pretty well based on that- I’ll definitely be back to get some! :) Thank you for having me!

Loved this place :) Excellent service and atmosphere, is small but cozy, great music and the food was amazing. Delicious salad, perfect pizza, I didn’t like the cannoli much because is fried, but the butter tarts are amazing, usually I don’t eat them because are too sweet but this one was just perfect. People didn’t stop coming in , getting coffee, desserts and bread. Can’t wait to come back!
