We had the Holy Crab at Mars Diner, and wow!!! it was the ultimate holiday treat! This dish was everything you’d want in a festive meal: rich, flavorful, and bursting with holiday vibes. Every bite felt like a celebration! The diner’s retro atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. It’s clear they put a lot of heart into their food and service. If you’re looking for a place to make your holiday meals extra special, Mars Diner is the spot. Truly the best of the best! P.s. i love the coffee they serve!

The English breakfast is a very very hearty meal! Their home fries not your traditional home fries in the sense that they seem to be pan fried vs deep fried , but pretty good nonetheless.

It's got that old school diner look and feel, which works for this place. I went in for breakfast which was decent. It was a standard breakfast, nothing special. The milkshake was great and I'd order that again. I understand this place has been around for a while, so they must be doing something right, so I'll go back one day and try their lunch items.

Mars Diner is a nostalgic gem, capturing the classic diner vibe with its bold red interiors, checkered floors, and neon accents that transport you straight to the ‘50s. It’s an ideal spot for a laid-back catch-up, with friendly and attentive staff who keep the vibe upbeat. The menu delivers all the comfort classics; we ordered the Mars Grand Slam and an English-Style Breakfast, each served in generous portions that hit the mark for hearty, filling diner fare. While the dishes stay true to their roots, Mars Diner adds just enough charm to make the experience feel unique. Overall, it’s a satisfying spot that we’d recommend for anyone craving a genuine diner throwback!

Amazing restaurant with great food! Our server was very nice and quick. The food looked great and tasted great. The prices were standard Toronto prices but the portions were a good size. Only issue I have with the place is there was alot of flies at the back of the restaurant. I had the Nutella milkshake and waffle comet Benedict it was very tasty and filling. The waffle was nice and soft while the chicken was crispy and sweet!

Mars Diner is a fantastic spot for a classic diner experience in Toronto! I stopped by for breakfast and ordered their pancakes with an Americano. The pancakes were fluffy, light, and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of sweetness. The Americano was smooth and strong—exactly what I needed to start my day. The retro vibe and friendly service made the visit even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a no-fuss, delicious breakfast spot with great coffee, Mars Diner is the place to be. I’ll definitely be returning for more!

Amazingly fast and friendly service, classic diner atmosphere complete with 1950s & 60s top-40 soundtrack and delicious food! Eggs were perfect over-easy, great home fries and succulent sausage. I didn’t get a photo but the pancakes are some of the best I’ve ever had- light, fluffy and not too sweet. Will definitely be back!

I’ve lived more than 2 years in Midtown and never heard of this 70 years old place. Yes! Believe it or not but this place was founded in 1951!!! They have a very large menu. It is known as a breakfast/brunch place but they also have plenty of selections for lunch or dinner. I was there for a breakfast and I’ve tasted one of the best hollandaise sauce in my life. Florentine is extremely healthy with well-prepared greens on the side. Cooks behind the bar and waiters were very energetic and happy to work with a smiling face. Even though the restaurant was full to the brim, the team was working motivated. Only downside of the place is the size of booths and interior design. It looks like an old diner with lovely red color but there are just too many tables in the available space. Even our 2 plates could hardly fit on our table. Other than that everything was splendid. I recommend you to try this place on weekdays when it is less crowded. A family with a stroller cannot fit. There is not enough tables for larger parties.
