Marq's Chicago Beef is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
A staple in Chicagoland and throughout Illinois, the vaunted Italian Beef sandwich has finally made it’s way north of the border. Round roast, oven-roasted in a blend of spices, sliced paper-thin and finished in piping hot gravy, then layered onto a soft, pillowy french roll and garnished with hot giardiniera, sweet peppers or both. Whether you want the whole sandwich dunked into the gravy (yes, 100% do this) or served at a regular juiciness level, the taste of Chicago meets Toronto with this legendary midwestern regional classic.

Great spot for a quick bite! Sandwich was as expected , delicious! I wish the fries were crispier but I would just ask for that next time. Plenty of space to sit and eat it too!

Yummy! I've never had an Italian beef before this, but the 6" was hefty with meat. Next time, I won't get it dipped though (even if it's more authentic) because I don't like soggy bread 😬

This place is magic. Friendly team, fast service, critically 10/10 sandwich. Just hits the spot on a cold winter morning! Give the team all the support; you can tell they put a lot of care and effort into their product and are super humble about it. That’s the kind of establishment where I am more than willing to come back for more.

Believe us when we say Ryan and his brother are doing some great things at Marqs. Probably the only Chicago beef sandwich available in Toronto, you are getting a ton of food and flavour for a very affordable price in the heart of downtown. Nestled away on Market 707/Bathurst & Dundas, make sure you visit them and try any one of their sandwiches - you won't regret it. Oh, and don't forget to get an order of their rooftop fries.

Pretty solid sandwich. I got the 6" Italian and it was very good. Tasty and filling and a descent amount of protein and meat inside which I would say is a great deal for the price. Beware it is a bit spicy but the good kind of spicy. I would recommend this spot for a quick bite. Their hours and location could be more convenient but it is what it is.

I’ve heard so much about this place through social media (TikTok especially) and it looked too good not to try! Made the trip from the east-end all the way downtown and it did not disappoint! I got the 6” Italian beef (dipped) with the rooftop fries and garpar fries and it was absolutely delicious. It was so good I actually ordered another sandwich and got it dunked the second time around. For those who haven’t tried it yet, dunked it the way to go. It really soaks up all the flavour and juiciness and enhances the overall taste of the sandwich. The fries were also really good! Fresh, tasty, and the garlic really stood out. I look forward to trying their other sandwiches. Thank you for living up to the hype and my expectations, I will be back!

Life changing experience. This sandwich is amazing. I got the 9” spicy beef sandwich “dipped”. For $12.50 they are practically giving these things away. Great bang for your buck. It was the perfect level of spicy, it had some legit heat but it wasn’t over done. Bread is the perfect combination of thick and strong enough not to fall apart after you dip the sandwich, and light and fluffy enough so it doesn’t fill you up on bread. This is the first time I’ve ever enjoyed the flavour of olives, there is a couple on top mixed in with vegetables and peppers. It was a sandwich like nothing I’ve ever had before, apparently it’s a Chicago classic🤷🏼♂️. It’s rare that I am this moved by a sandwich, but this one is special! Go treat yourself! The owners run the stand and are super friendly and down to earth. 10/10
