My husband and I went here last night for the first time. He had bangers and mash which he really liked. I had the fish and chips which was a disappointment to say the least. I should have taken a picture! The fish looked nice when it arrived but when I cut into it I found that the batter was extremely thick and the fish was very thin. Both the coleslaw & the fries were good. But they need to really come up with a better recipe for the fish. The batter should be thin and the fish should be of a decent size. I will not order this again. In fact we may not go back again because the menu items for meals are very limited and the price is pretty high. I think the fish and chips cost $26. I couldn't check because the menu on their website is out of date... It doesn't include the bangers and mash and the fish and chips are priced at $22 which is not what I paid. Yep, I think this place is off the restaurant list for us!

Service was super slow. Every single dish was bland and clearly made from old and frozen ingredients. The male waiter we had was obnoxious, made a few subtly racist comments since we were conversing in a different language than English. The interior design and especially the location was great. However, the place was filthy. Cobwebs and fruit flies all around. Our initial waitress (who was super nice) had to change glasses since there were dirt in them.

Nice patio in the summer but my goodness the food is terrible. Seems so odd that pub food would be difficult to get so wrong. Had the steak (avoid at all costs) the pie (meh) and the chicken burger (average at best, very greasy). The wines were also not good. Patio is great vibe in the summer but food needs to improve, big time.

Sat on the patio for lunch. Service from Andy was fabulous! Food was excellent and clearly this is one of the best patios in Ontario! Only caveat is...that like the other restaurants in the area...no Cappuccino or Latte...why? I love our local coffee shops but I would also love a nice fancy coffee after my meal....don't follow the crowd... Please consider a Cappuccino maker!

Working lunch on the patio today and we’ll be back. Annie our server was an absolute pleasure…service was quick, attentive and friendly. Food was fresh and well presented. Beautiful cross breeze, just a wonderful afternoon in general.

Please do not go and waste your hard earned money. The ambience was no doubt amazing but the food sucks. We ordered fish & chips and chicken sandwich. Fish & chips - the batter was not cooked and on complaining about it, they did not even bother about it. Just said sorry and took the plate. Chicken sandwich - again the same thing, chicken was not cooked from in between. They do not care about the customer complaints and don’t give a damn if the food is cooked or not. Go for vibes but not for anything else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Love their mussel and fries, we ordered two pounds and they are really fresh and juicy! Staff here are so friendly. Will be coming back for other items on the menu:)

Oakville always needs more pubs and taverns so when this place opened up we really wanted to try. It was buzzing with life. Staff were attentive and very busy. Nice to see traditional British fare like the scotch egg. Food was good! Grandma really loved the fish and chips. My picky kids liked the kids and adult burgers. I had the chicken Kiev. Big enough to save for my lunch the next day. Great wine selection and prices are reasonable. Only negative as per my husband is the highly disappointing beer selection if they are calling themselves a British pub. It was a standard beer line up for any restaurant. The atmosphere was nice but it did get loud when they were full. Kids should bring headphones. They do have kids options but it’s not on the menu.
