Absolutely adore this place! Must-try authentic Japanese noodles for an unbeatable price! Manpuku is a frequent lunch or dinner option for me and other university students in the area, especially those looks for a cheap meal. This family owned restaurant consistently serves the best bowls of udon and ramen around. It tastes amazing and warms you right up on a winter day.

Affordable place for authentic Japanese flavors. Their food is pretty standard but unbeatable for the price. Quick and good service as well.

Manpuku is a hidden gem tucked away in the food court. There's usually a wait but it's worth waiting for, and service is fast. Great value for money as most menu items are under $10. Authentic Japanese homestyle food that's flavourful and comforting. My favourite is the beef curry donburi rice bowl. I also really enjoyed the kitsune udon, yaki onigiri, tsubugaiyaki, and chawanmushi. I'll definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. There's table service and seating available inside the restaurant (or you can order takeout and eat in the food court).

Super good food at affordable price... Portion is not bad too.... except the oden....$4 for that was a little hard to swallow...but I do admit the radish was very good. Would definitely come again to try the other dishes.... perhaps get 3 mains and share with 2 person. lul. Place is indeed quite cram but once you taste the food, you'll forget everything XD. Verdict: A definite must try again and again!

A lovely little spot! I think it's run by a Japanese family. When I tasted my food, I was transported back to Japan. I lived there for three years and I miss it so much. I'm glad I can have an authentic taste of Japan here in Toronto. ごちそうさまでした。

Honestly, the only redeeming factor for this place is the price. I had high hopes considering the reviews but was left so disappointed and unsatisfied. We ordered two udons, takoyaki, nikujyaga and the imo mochi and the total was $40 after tax and 15% tip. However, that’s where the good ends. The service was slow - normally forgiven if the place is busy but people came in after us, got all their food and left before we even got our last dish. We had to remind the waitresses several times. Even though we had ordered the same dishes as everyone surrounding us, ours came last. Sat down at 6, ordered at around 6:15, imo mochi and nigujyaka arrived at 6:45, udon at 7:10 and takoyaki at 7:25. The udon, while comforting and nice in the cold, was overcooked and nothing special. The soup was very thin for a curry udon and the only indication that this was a curry udon was the colour as I could not taste it. They were also out of beef so any dishes we ordered that had beef were exchanged for pork - not a big deal and doesn’t impact the overall experience much but mentioning it to be fair. The imo mochi was decent, nice crispy exterior and mochi texture with pieces of potato inside but bland and served with ketchup mayo on the side. Nikujyaka was probably the best tasting dish overall, sweet, savoury and comforting but a little heavy on the sweet side. Takoyaki was the worst. Super doughy, had like one micro piece of octopus in it and mushy. It was the worst takoyaki I’ve ever had and I ended up spitting it out because I could not eat it. Unless I am broke and in the area, I will not return nor recommend to others. Maybe they had a bad day considering all the positive reviews but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. You would probably be better off choosing other food court options.

Home cooking feel to this resto. Really yummy not too salty and has a good balance of vegetables when there's spinach on the noodles too. Great place to go solo or with one or two other people. A small place.

Such a nice small Japanese restaurant near OCAD, food have a feel of home made style, and the price is amazing low in downtown area. Ordered a beef rice don combo and takoyaki, the bill is only $15. Takoyaki is great!!!
