Dropped into Mango Mirchi, Mississauga, one of our recent favorite spots for Goan + Mangalorean specialties. While we usually take out (or uber eats) from the place, we were craving some Konkan coastal fish fry, which is best had dine-in. The Surmai/Anjal rava fry (King Fish) and Pomfret fry stuffed with rechado masala were absolutely divine. We ended the meal with a spicy yet yummy vindaloo that hit all the right notes. Cozy place with incredible food, and the owner’s warm hospitality makes the experience even better. They also do party catering orders, some of the regular favorites are prawns mango curry, chicken bunts curry and sorpotel. Highly recommend this hidden gem for authentic coastal flavors!

We happened to visit the place at random. Had ordered chicken wings, fish fry and biryani. It was good. My kid liked the fish fry. The owner is friendly

The best Goan restaurant in Toronto. The food is very authentic. I love eating the fish croquet and the fried fish (pomfret and King fish). And don't miss the tasty fish curries. And if you have space in your tummy, try the Prawn Biryani too. The service is great too. And yes, they also sell Goan sausages as well.

We first came across this place at a Goan carnival and loved the food . We decided that we would head to the restaurant. The style of the restaurant is very home like and the owners and chefs are the most kind and welcoming people. The food was so fresh and cooked to perfection. We ordered the Sanas , fish curry , prawn curry , king fish fry , rice and Chorizo pulao . Everything was absolutely delicious , very well spiced and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner . We will surely be back to have a meal here and support this business. Do not be put off by the decor as some of it may be dated but the food is DELICIOUS! They also have options for catering , so the next time you’re having an event look no further. Definitely a must try if you have not already and Desmond and Irene will welcome you with the warmest smiles , great conversation and exceptional food!

A hidden spot for Goan cuisine. Was hoping to have their Goan Crab curry, but they did not have it when I visited. Tried the prawn and raw mango curry, it was really delicious. Raw mangoes had a nice tang that went well with the coconut based curry and the prawns tasted fresh. The curry doesn’t come with rice though and I was asked by the waiter to pay an additional $6 for basmati as you “can’t eat curry without it” the curry was already pretty expensive so I didn’t order rice, but the chef was kind enough to provide a complimentary bowl of rice. Also had their bebinca for dessert. These delicious almost pancake like bits layered with syrup and ghee were delicious, but were also expensive for the small portion. The interior is a bit dated, but feels humble and homelike. The restaurant was a bit empty, but it could have just been my timing. Staff was very helpful and attentive.

Went here a while back, the restaurant was empty and wasn't sure if the food would be good, but wasn't disappointed, the food was excellent. We were searching for a Goan restaurant and this came in the suggestions..when we reached it was a bit confusing since the outside and inside pics of the restaurant are different from what you see in Google reviews..the management should update it since it was the older location. Their fish curry honestly reminded me of Goa even though I have been there just once, but the best dish was the Goat curry hands down! It was probably one of the best goat curry I have ever had. Their prawns and chicken biryani were also good. Totally recommended for people who love fish.

Having resided in Goa for quite some time, I am quite a connoisseur when it comes to Goan-cooking. After visiting Mango Mirchi for the seventh time, I decided to edit my review to include the following recommendation which I can assure you with confidence that you'll love: If you wish to experience an authentic Goan meal, you must try the Chorizo Chilli (Goan pork sausage) together with an order of Sannas. Both items are traditionally Goan and are best served at this restaurant because they bring back the true taste of home. Over my frequent visits I have had the pleasure of sampling many of their fine offerings and what I can tell you is that you'd think you're in Goa while you're eating. For an appetizer I recommend the Beef Potato Chops or the Fish Croquettes, or better yet, both. For the main dish, besides the above-mentioned Chorizo, you can have a Prawn or Veg Biryani, both are absolutely tasty and well, 'justa like mama used to make'. Or if you are a fish lover you must sample their Mackerel or Golden Pomfret Fry. Have a sweet tooth? They make a delicious Bibinka and Rum cakes. The prices are quite reasonable when you consider that Goan dishes are simply not readily available in the GTA food market as are your Chinese restaurants. Truth be told, I believe that the prices may very well be under-priced and that's because it's a ma & pa (run by Desmond and Irine) restaurant. Try some Goan dishes at the Mango Mirchi the next time you are feeling adventurous and I can assure you will fall in love with Goan-cooking!

My favourite place for Mangalorean/Goan food! Authentic taste at affordable price with a pleasant ambience. Do not miss to try the King fish fry and Mackerel fry, l love it! I also liked the Prawn Mango curry, delicious!!! The people serving us were really sweet and friendly. Much recommended to those who love to try authentic Mangalorean/Goan cuisine.
