Mandi Afandi

Very good food, price and service. The place is also very clean and originally decorated. I ordered Mandi, which is an original Yemeni dish just to realize how common the food is in all the former Ottoman empire countries.

We visited Mandi Afandi today (November 23, 2024) for lunch. The place was very quiet, as we were the only ones there. You have to order at the reception because no one comes to take your order. Unfortunately, the food was very bland and lacked spice and flavor, which was disappointing. This place might not suit Indian tastes, as we prefer more spice and flavor in our meals. We ordered the Chicken Madhbi ($18.99) and the Mini Lamb Haneedh ($17.99). The Mini Lamb Haneedh portion was enough for one person, while the Chicken Madhbi was enough for two. We took one mango drink (5.99$) is ok .Total bill was 48 dollars .The free tea and lentil soup were okay, but overall, the meal didn't meet expectations.

The service we received was great. Smiling and welcoming staffs. They gave candy to our kid. Interior is nice too. Was not very crowded when we visited. But the washroom area could have maintained well. About the food, chicken mandi was nice, was rich in flavour, however bit dry. Madhbi was great. The lamb soup was great. Eventhough we are not a fan of lentil soup, we received them and it was good. We expected spicy food but were not very spicy at all. Salad was okay too but not very great. Overall a nice experience.

“I visited this restaurant and was disappointed with several aspects of the experience. Although the food was tasty The staff were not polite, which further affected the overall experience. The cleanliness of the toilets was poor, with no tissues or water available. Additionally, the complimentary coffee was weak and not enjoyable. While the mandi was good, the salad didn’t meet expectations. Overall, the customer service could use some improvement to ensure a better dining experience

We have ordered mansaf. We went almost at the last hour. I personally didnt like the taste of the food, rice mixes with yogurt which i dont like. But my husband like it. I liked the lamb portion. They gave extra yogurt curry to have with rice. May be next time will try something else. The music was loud. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Overall a quick and short experience.

Customer service and atmosphère have always been top-notch! I really enjoy eating traditional mansaf so my only concern was that there’s always been too much fat with the meat provided. The portion size for the meat in comparison to the price was not sufficient. I even mentioned to the staff to please be mindful as I have always been served very fatty meat and it’s not to preference. The meal itself is delicious and true authentic Arabian experience. The sauce and food overall tastes flavourful and very satisfying. Would like to have more meat portion next time little to no fat.

It's an extremely tasty Arabic food that they serve here. I had lamb Madhbi, and it was great. The portion is big and can easily satisfy two people. The red sauce with the meal is of great taste. The place is not very luxurious and they don't take orders at the table. But the food is great.

Mandi Afandi has a fantastic ambiance that feels like a little slice of the Middle East. But it was their juicy Chicken Mandi that really took me on a journey there! The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the portion size was very generous, especially for the Mini Chicken Mandi meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel special from the moment I walked in. There's plenty of space to dine in is a great bonus. Highly recommend!
