Just had the Meaty Mancini's today and it was absolutely extraordinary! The perfect blend of savory meats and perfectly melted cheese on a crispy, yet soft crust. I pass this place regularly heading for the GO station and decided to check it out… wow! The sandwich is HUMONGOUS and delicious. They have Brio and Orangina. Staff are really nice. Will definitely be back, a good veal sandwich is a precious thing. I grew up near a San Francesco Foods and made a pilgrimage to the original location on Clinton St; Mancini’s measures up to that high standard. Need to try the pizzas and panzos next.

Decent veal sandwich. I come here 2-3 times a year. However, it seems to be the last remaining place yo get a good veal sandwich around here, most other places have closed.

Finally, we tried Mancini’s in Whitby. We stopped in for early lunch and shared a Canadian Slice and Chicken Sandwich, that we got fully loaded. The portion sizes are generous and sharing the two dishes easily satisfied us. The sandwich was very tasty and we loved the jalapeño spread. However, we ate in and the sandwich was pretty soggy and a bit of a mess to eat. I guess that’s why they asked if wanted cutlery. Aside from that, they were steady with business and there’s lots of seating available if you choose to eat in.

Although I was eager to award them 6 stars, I was disappointed by the quality of the food. The pizza dough was undercooked, with some parts raw, making it difficult to enjoy. The veal sandwich was a disaster, as depicted in the photo. While the wings tasted decent, they were smaller than expected. I may consider revisiting in the future, hoping they address these issues.

We had the Veal Hot Italian Sandwich. Enough for two easy but so good you’re not likely to share. Unbeatable value. The homemade tomato sauce in combination with the sautéed onions, mushrooms and sweet peppers topped off the breaded veal flawlessly. Sweet Peppers so fresh they were crispy. The veal was more tender than the crust of the bun, so tender! Absolutely the best deal I've had in half a century. Signed – Greg Maunder age 65

The entirely too big and incredibly tasty veal sandwich is a thing to behold. Freshly made to order with double thick veal, gooey cheese and peppers, then doused in a tangy tomato sauce. A hardy meal for sure. Be prepared to share. Don't forget to grab one of those little containers of marinated olives! The best veal on a bun around.
