Visit and place has grown - very nice ordered a party size pizza thin crust and this time their pizza wasn't up to their best the dough was not holding the toppings and when you picked a slice the toppings fell off plus pizza dough was little burnt. The pizza was still delicious just didn't want to eat the toppings and than eat the bottom separate. I didn't want to say anything to embarrassing my group..I know their pasta, sandwiches, salads are amazing guessing just received a somewhat bad pizza. I would recommend this place hands down. Great service very clean and 99% great food.. enjoy

The place was packed for the haunted house they set up for halloween with a line out the door. I thought we'd have to wait for a really long time but they managed to seat everyone and us very quickly. The owner was incredible at managing the crowd and keeping everything in order. The food had a very homemade Italian dinner feel and was delicious. Great portion sizes and very reasonable prices make this a place where I would love to go back with the whole family if I have the chance. The pizza was excellent and the pasta had a great tomato sauce. Lots of vegetarian options made this a great menu all around. Despite the rush of people for Halloween we also never felt rushed or hurried either. Will definitely come back at some point.

Delicious Italian food! I had the chicken parmigiana which was absolutely amazing, a perfect combination of sauce and chicken. There was a long line to get in and get inside the restaurant but it was definitely worth it. It's nice inside.

Everyone raves about this place (though some seem to not like it at all), so we thought we would give it a try. Got there at 6pm on a Friday night and it was pretty full by 6:30. Tons of staff, all scurrying about making sure everything is going well. Waitress we had was great, friendly and efficient, she helped make it a good night. Not a ton of food choices, but a huge menu usually isn't a good thing (looking at you Cheesecake Factory). I had lasagna, it was decent, not the best, but good. Other had ravioli, they liked. And my oldest had 4-cheese pizza. He quite enjoyed it, though only made it through 2 slices. But he happily ate the leftovers the next day. Two small criticisms. We got garlic bread to start, it was dry and bland. Expected more butter and garlice, we actually didn't even finish it, which is a first for this family. My wife and I also ordered a chef's salad to share, but we never got it. Weren't charged for it, but we did want to try it. Price wasn't too bad for 4, under $100 for 2 apps, drinks and 4 entrees. I think it is the atmosphere that people like. It really has that 80s family-run Italian restaurant vibe. Lots of regulars, staff greeting people, people having a good time at surrounding tables. This isn't Giulietta, but we didn't expect it to be. We don't live in the area, but if we wanted Italian and we were back in Etobicoke, we'd probably try it again. Beats the corporate vibe of Scaddabush. P.S. Bonus points for me accidently picking the place next door to the haunted house we were planning to go to after dinner. Yes, I am S.M.R.T. for not connecting the Martino name to the 2 places. Happy accidents, right?

Really enjoyed our dinners at this nostalgic Italian restaurant. Unfortunately they didn't have any gluten free pasta, but we were able to enjoy salads and chicken. It was delicious though. Atmosphere was fun. People were lined waiting to enter as we were leaving. We didn't see a main floor bathroom but used the stairs to go to the lower level bathrooms. They were out of draft beer and also no class for a few pasta dishes.

Really friendly, happy and yummy Italian restaurant. Recommend the Mussels and Calamari. You must try the handmade spaghetti.

Had a great experience. Food was very fresh and portions were very generous. The gnocchi was so fluffy and the fettuccini had a perfect bite to it. The Caesar dressing was definitely made in house as are the pastas. I have zero complaints and the service was so friendly and prompt. The prices are also incredible.

Mamma Martino's has friendly service. Upon entering, we waited for about 10 minutes and were greeted by the hostess with a warm smile. Our server was attentive and helpful with menu recommendations. The food came out of the kitchen fairly quickly, which was a plus. The taste of the food was average and not particularly memorable. The pasta dishes were cooked a little bit soft and had decent flavor, but lacked any sort of wow factor. The sauces were basic and could have used more depth and complexity. The portions were ample, but not generous. The ambiance was typical of an Italian restaurant with dim lighting. It was a bit noisy, but not to the point of distraction. Overall, Mama's Martino's is a decent option for a casual Italian meal, but it doesn't stand out from the crowd. If you're in the area and craving Italian food, it's worth checking out, but don't expect a gourmet experience.
