MAMA Bakery and Karahi

One of the worst experiences of my life. Mama Bakery is one of the most expensive bakeries in Toronto. which sells one bread for 3.25 cents which is available in all bakeries in Toronto for the price of 2 and there is no tax. They only know how to deceive people. And no option I even not give him zero star

Mama Bakery and Karahi is a clean and a hygienic place with friendly staff. There is no in-house service or seating but for take-away. The take away meals were not of popular taste even for the native palate. Though they seem to specialize in making flat-bread, they could improve on their other meal recipes as well.

I was happy to find out about this place while visiting Toronto and they have amazing Afghani bread. We ordered couple of barbari bread, 2 different kinds of the round bread and a box of dessert. Everything was delicious and their customer service is amazing 👏.

Worst Biryani and Jalebis we ever had. The Chicken Biryani was bland, no flavor at all. The Jalebi was soggy and falling apart. Do not recommend at all. Only thing they are good for is bread. Hard to mess bread up.

Accidentally stumbled upon this gem of a bakery. Absolutely delicious fresh bread and butter naan. At $2.50 each, it's well worth the price. You can see them bake it fresh on site. Staff is very nice and friendly.

I bought a chicken biriyani today. The rice and chicken was stale and smelly when I opened it at home for dinner. I think they give me left out from yesterday. I had to throw it out in garbage. I bought another rice from the other Afghan restaurant also at same time but it was good and $3 cheaper also. This is my third time (and last too) in mama restaurant but earlier it was good.

Best butter naan in Toronto. The naan can easily be reheated after a day & still maintains the freshness. It’s reasonably priced at $2.50 a naan. Also, they don’t make the naans every time. I went around 7 pm to buy it & they were done for the day. Were trying to sell their burnt naans. While handling the food they should wear hairnets & gloves. Cashier is handling the food & putting the naans barehands into the bags. Its disgusting & public health guidelines needs to be enforced. Also, women cashier unable to communicate due to language barrier & always acts aggressively. She shouldn’t be rude to those who don’t know their language. I hope they can improve the customer service as they lack hugely & be more inclusive. Despite all these complaints, i still recommend their naans.
