Makimono Sushi Bar Restaurant

My girlfriend and I have been coming to this location for a couple years now and it’s always been a great time. The food is delicious and the staff are very efficient. The only thing that I would change about this location is their pop machine. I’m not sure if it’s the filter or maybe the syrup, but the drinks often taste watered down. Especially the Ice Tea and Ginger Ale. Besides that it’s a great place to visit!

Great spot for ayce sushi on the west end. Very spacious and clean with a modern aesthetic. I enjoyed the variety they have to offer from sushi to dim sum and other Asian foods. The service was great, our server Ryan was particularly helpful and very friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

It’s pretty good. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much for a normal Monday sushi dinner, but it turns out the service is good, and so is the food. I would eagerly recommend the shrimp tempura, check out this incredible crisp.

I had mine delivered. Waiting of the delivery is okay. This restaurant had the best Takoyaki so far I can feel many bits of octopus and the taste is what I look for with katsuobushi and parsley flakes on the side and a sweet sauce with mayo goes well with it, this was perfect for me out of the japanese restaurant in the City. On the otherhand the Dynamite I had ordered was a little bit boring the Seaweed sheet was already soggy maybe because I got it on sale for 2 order of Dynamite roll for $13. Maybe it would have been better if it's not on sale.

Unfortunately, the service has been getting worse lately. Today, when I went to order by phone, the attendant hung up on me before telling me the price and time... I had to call back and ask... It's really sad because Makimono was our favorite Asian restaurant!!! Here's a picture of what came to me... a sushi pizza made with bad intentions!!!

My husband and I decided to visit Makimono for their AYCE experience last weekend. The place was packed when we arrived but the service was quick and we were taken to our seats right away. You order your dishes off an iPad and the food is brought pretty quickly. The best part is the cute robot cat that makes its way to your table with the dishes. Focus on the sashimi and their specialty sushi rolls which were delicious. We tried pretty much everything on the menu from their appetizers to chow mein style noodles to their sushi pizza that was an interesting take. They even have non Japanese dishes like dim sums and buns. Their dessert menu was pretty extensive but small portions so make sure you get one of everything to try.

If you want to just "try" Japanese cuisine, then this isn't the place for you! Not because you won't like it; you'll be hooked and probably want to "try" everything on the menu! The service was top notch; the greeter was quite a character and our server was super friendly and professional! And there is a robot serving as well! The food was great as well. My noodles had a great texture and were the essence of "umami"! The Chicken Katsu was crispy and well seasoned and the sauce was very savory. To top it off, we were served our meals in about 15 minutes and the price was well worth the portions! We even took some back to our hotel. Definitely a gem and sooooo worth a visit!!

Went on a Monday evening around 8, maybe a little late for dinner on a weekday, the restaurant was empty with one person waiting for his takeout order. Ordered sashimi, rolls and Udon.. Rolls were ok, rice not so fresh, salmon sashimi was good, but Tuna was a bit dry.. Appetising Udon… The server looked a bit in a rush to close, so service was ok-ish…
